Great boutique! Shopped here for the first time today and was very pleased. First off the staff is very friendly and helpful giving honest opinions about sizing and matching. There is a great selection of items. Everything from jeans and tees to formal dresses and coats. They also have accessories and some home items. Items are priced appropriately for each brand. While some items are higher end and a bit pricey you Can also find really great brands of great quality that are more affordable. They have a 14 day store credit only return policy. My only Complaints were that the heat was so high in the store i felt sick. Especially in the dressing room. Also the mirrors are verrrry tilted so I hope the items I purchased still look good at home. read more

Bellwether is a highly curated boutique in Sewickley with an aesthetic that is a blend between rustic and tailored. There is a lot of floor space, but it doesn't feel austere. Accessories and home goods co-mingle with clothing, which leads the shopper to examine every corner of the store and not just a specific section. In this way, Bellwether immerses you in its displays, making you examine each one for a special piece. The looks seem to appeal to a clientele that is perhaps not *quite* as youthful as Rosewood, but perhaps not as matured as Soho or Spoiled Chics. I ended up buying a set of jewelry dishes with my initials on them, and the woman in the shop was very friendly. While the clothing is not quite of my style or size range, I do like this shop and I think that Bellwether is a welcome addition to the Village scene. read more

Fabulous place for shopping! There is so much to see, everything from gorgeous dresses to cute rugs (had to buy one!) a refreshment bar, etc. Prices are within reason which is great because people can go in and buy several quality items and not go broke. Angelica, the owner, introduced herself to me and was very open and kind. This is the perfect place to find that unique gift or that dress you've been searching for but just can't find...you'll find it there. I bought a throw rug, which I love and several other goodies! I would for sure recommend Bellwether! read more

Established in 2015.

In June of 2015, Bellwether began as a pop-up shop. In August of 2015, Bellwether turned into a full time brick and mortar store and found a loving home at 447 Beaver Street in Sewickley. Since then Bellwether has strived to provide all that walk in the door with warmth and mindful goods (which are all hand picked personally by the store owner, Angelique). Meet the Business Owner: Angelique L.

Angelique started Bellwether with the intention of supplying a curated mix of house & home goods, clothing, and accessories made with love (both locally and worldwide) to all that enter. Since opening, Bellwether has grown to be much more. Angelique is personally invested in making your shopping experience personal. With a stylish eye and grace, Angelique offers to hand pick items tailored to your style (by brand, color or cut) so that they are ready for you when you enter. If you become interested in a brand or are looking for something in particular for a special day or event, Bellwether can take your name and contact information so you can be notified when relevant items arrive. All items are hand picked by Angelique, inspired by day to day life and carefully selected with customers in mind.

One thing that I like is Spoiled Chics has a lot of merchandise that's made in the USA and is NOT sweat-shop sourced. They also buy a lot of items from female enterpreneurs. And in the past they have supported several womens' causes.

It's not that we were promised countless times that the jacket would be here next week, only stop by the store and be told find it still hadn't shown up. The real reason you shouldn't buy from the store is the complete and total lack of concern that was shown by the owner. As you can imagine, we were fairly frustrated with the delay yet we were always kind and respectful. My daughter purchased this jacket and she was so looking forward to wearing it. After almost 30 days I finally asked to speak to the owner. He simply told me that his current supplier no longer carried the jacket, and he was ordering it from another supplier - no remorse, no sense of urgency. He assured me it would arrive with 10 days. Almost a month and two conversations later, still nothing. We finally requested our money back. Don't confuse the owner's complete disregard for customer care with the kindness shown by the people behind the counter. I'm sure they felt embarrassed for the way we have been treated - my daughter excitedly going into the store after school, week after week, only for them to tell her they still didn't have it. I don't like writing such a negative review, but I think that the only way the owner will change his ways is if he suffers a lack of business. Perhaps he will then figure out that treating customers well is important, and others won't go through the same thing we did.

This year I especified the day they needed to be delivered in CAPS letters in the comments stating when I wanted them delivered. I said NO EARLIER. This seemed to have worked as they were delivered on her actual birthday. Being that we dont live in town, simple things like getting flowers delivered, can become big things.
