From the start, you can tell how dedicated she is to her craft and the entire process. You feel like you have a true fighter in your corner when it comes to Elise Bennett. When our engagement photo shoot location got rained out she scrambled to find an alternative location and the photos turned out beautifully. She'll climb, squat, head-stand just to get the perfect shot! It's amazing watching her work, but more impressively, most of the time you don't even notice her buzzing around snapping shot after shot, because she creates such a relaxed, organic atmosphere for her clients. Elise Bennett takes the time to get to know her clients on a personal level, which was very important to me. She understands that life can get crazy and is willing to work with you no matter what the circumstances are. Her organizational skills are a sight to behold, especially during a time when most brides have so many other issues to consider. Elise will keep you on track and you won't have to worry about timing for your photographs, since she will certainly have it all planned out well in advance. Prior to your wedding, Elise will take time out of her day to drive around and scout your locations with you. Her shot recommendations are always impeccable, as Elise and her team are not afraid to push themselves and you. If you have a vision, she will make it happen, period! Elise and her team have a true eye for the art of photography, as well as a driven desire to provide the most superior client-photographer relationship. They garner an unparalleled understanding of their clients' wants, desires and dreams for their special day, and this clearly shines though in the finished products. Elise Bennett Photography is the team you need to hire when you want only the most professional and artistically skilled photographers to capture your most irreplaceable and memorable moments.

She works hard to capture every memory from the day, and the pictures that you get in return are absolutely stunning!! After being married for over a year, I still look back at my wedding pictures frequently and cannot get over how beautiful they are! My husband and I have agreed that choosing Elise as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made about the whole wedding (and our wedding was amazing!), because the pictures last a lifetime. Elise is THE BEST at what she does!!

Bride and Groom beware. I hired Katie last year for my wedding and my gut instinct after I met with…read moreher said keep looking but I was pressed for time and she lied to get our business. Katie claims to be a professional full-time photographer, this is not true, she works for a wedding venue in Mandeville full time, her photography experience is highly exaggerated. Because we have friends and family all over, some were even out of country at the time of our wedding, we requested that Katie do a Live stream of the ceremony. She stated that would be no problem and that she had a great videographer. That "videographer ended up being her husband who is not a professional videographer by any means. We did a contract and paid an extra $500 for the livestream. In short, the livestream never happened. I had dozens of people contacting her the day of the event via email and text after they set aside time and adjusted schedules to attend virtually as planned. Katie had months of time to prepare but did not. I provided her the information for the venue and the venue director and she never went there prior to the date of the event or even contacted Danielle, the event coordinator, to set up and test the livestream. In the video we saw (we have no usable video of our wedding now) it showed our backs in front of the pastor and Katie right behind him, you see the backs of people attending the weddings heads bobbing all over, you cant hear anything on the audio and you never see us come down the aisle. Needless to say, it would have been a better video if one of my friends had just recorded it with an iPhone. As a courtesy, I even paid an extra $200 for Katie and her husband to have dinner while working at my wedding. How was I treated in return? When I texted, called, and emailed Katie to address the video and the fact the livestream did not work even though we paid for it, she ghosted me. She had also promised the pictures within 2-3 weeks of the event, but it was 5 weeks before I received anything and when I did, the pictures were awful. My husband is 6'2 and I am 5'10, but taller with heels on. We both work out and are athletic-not small people. A common rule of professional photography is never shoot from down low because it is the most unflattering angle possible. Katie is 4'10 which, when we met, made me apprehensive to choose her. However, she advised that she wears big shoes and climbs up on ladders to get better shots. She did wear big shoes on the day, but she couldn't walk well in them and she stepped all over my dress before the wedding leaving black marks all over it. She did not use a ladder or shoot from up high, she kept kneeling and shooting from down low which is a rookie mistake and shows her lack of experience. Just so people know, I have a lot of experience with professional photographers since I had modeled for years worked with dozens of photographers. So, when I say I understand angles and what she should have done and not done, I really do. She also claims she "preselected areas" to take pictures, which is highly unlikely since she never went to the venue prior. She had us walking outside in 90 degrees with full makeup on, tuxedo and dress, outside in the alleys, down dirty service hallways, and all over the place prior to the wedding to do pictures. After my experience, I would recommend any other photographer but her. I am also filing against her in small claims court for violation of her own contract and ghosting me when I attempted to address it. If I can, I will attach a copy of the judgement once it is done.

A boudoir session is a very personal experience for the person being photographed and Emily does not take that lightly. I was uncomfortable, nervous, and felt very exposed at first but within a few minutes of the session starting I went from feeling exposed to feeling empowered! Her guidance with posing and constant " hype you up" encouragement throughout the session really does boost confidence and makes you feel beautiful. Her is work is stunning because she doesn't just take pictures , she captures your beauty, your emotions, and your moments of "I can't believe that's actually me". I love having my photos to look at when I'm feeling discouraged and not so confident in myself to be reminded of how confident, beautiful, and empowered I felt during the session and when I viewed my pictures for the first time. Five starts just isn't enough to rate my entire experience.

From start to finish, working with Marianne &…read moreSteve was an incredible experience, and hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our New Orleans "not a wedding" wedding. I found Red M Studio through a Reddit recommendation from another couple who loved their photos, and after seeing their work, I immediately understood why. We wanted to support a small business, loved their aesthetic, and knew we needed professionals who could capture something intimate and nontraditional without turning it into a production. Leading up to the day, Marianne & Steve were incredibly organized and thoughtful. We had both a phone call and a Zoom meeting where they walked through every detail to make sure nothing was missed. They even used Google Maps to virtually walk us through the French Quarter and talk through locations and timing. That level of preparation made us feel completely at ease. Our original plan was to elope, but as anyone who tries to elope in New Orleans learns, that rarely stays small. What unfolded was a joyful, intimate gathering we lovingly called our "not a wedding." Marianne & Steve captured every part of it beautifully, from exchanging vows privately in our hotel suite, to wandering the French Quarter on Halloween night, stopping at the Carousel Bar, befriending a very determined French Quarter cat, and ending the evening with a private dinner at Arnaud's surrounded by our favorite people. They truly understood the assignment. The photos feel authentic, emotional, and perfectly us. Nothing felt staged or forced, and we never once felt uncomfortable or overly "on display." The final gallery tells the story of the day exactly as it was: warm, a little spooky, deeply personal, and full of love. If you're getting married in New Orleans and want photographers who are professional, intuitive, and genuinely invested in telling your story, Red M Studio is exceptional. We will treasure these photos forever.
