I've used this Post Office quite a few times recently having sold off most of my worldly posessions on eBay.
It's a large building with many different parts to it of which the actual Post Office counter is only a part. There is a newsagents, a (tacky) gift shop and a cafe.
The service from the Post Office staff is always helpful and friendly but there has been more of them standing outside having a smoke than behind the counter on more than one occassion when I've been there.
The clientele bring a certain ambience to the locale. I've never heard so much swearing in a public queue in my life and there's usually a small crowd of tracksuits at the front door waiting on one of their friends cashing a giro or stealing a Mars Bar from the newsagents.
Great if you're only in it for the Post Office but the rest of it makes it all a bit weird for me. read more
