I really wish I could give your shop, the experience, and our consultant more than five stars…read more When we arrived to the shop, we were greeted in the best welcoming manner any bride, and her entourage could receive. We were instructed to go upstairs where we would meet our daughter's bridal consultant. Jen introduced herself and let me tell you there is nothing unforgettable about her. From her welcoming presence, to her huge smile, and especially the way she made our daughter feel very special. Jen led us to our seats which were so comfortable. It felt like we were going to experience this bridal dress shopping in the comfort of our own home. In front of us was this large room full of mirrors, a pedestal, and curtains held open by metal tiebacks. Jen took her daughter and started looking at dresses. Jen asked our daughter so many questions. She wanted to know our daughter personally, so she could select the correct gowns. Jen assisted our daughter getting her gown on and she'd open up those curtains and it was like this grand experience. The last gown our daughter tried on was the most beautiful and perfectly designed for her. It's like consultant Jen knew that this was the finale gown. We explained to Jen that we had another bridal appointment at one of the chain bridal store. Jen took our daughter's measurements for the finale gown our daughter loved. Our daughter did not receive her bridal moment at the chain store and the dresses she tried on did not compare to her finale gown at your shop. Our daughter called your shop back and asked if she could come back and try on that finale gown one more time. Jen was right there to welcome us. Jen had our daughter in the gown with the veil and she grandly opened up those curtains and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Our daughter said, "I say yes to the dress". A huge thank you to our consultant Jen and Simply Yours for the best bridal experience, a bride-to-be could ever have. Review submitted by Bonus Mom and Mom

As the mother of the groom, I have never been more appalled by the lack of professionalism and…read morebasic human decency shown by Khloe Mae--especially by the owner, Stephanie. From the very beginning, the staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and lacked the warmth or guidance you'd expect from a bridal shop. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. After waiting months, my future daughter-in-law's dress finally arrived--damaged. Not minor damage, either. And instead of doing the obvious right thing and ordering a new dress (something she paid for in full), Stephanie and her team tried to brush it off and offered to repair it--as if any bride should settle for a "fixed" gown on her wedding day. There was no apology, no urgency, and no accountability. It was clear that once they had our money, they had no interest in helping or making things right. Stephanie's attitude throughout this process was cold and completely unprofessional. Her store may sell wedding dresses, but there is absolutely nothing bridal or joyful about the way they treat their customers. Save yourself the heartbreak. I would never recommend Khloe Mae to any bride or family. They turned a once-in-a-lifetime experience into a stressful, infuriating nightmare. if I could give a 0 rating I would!

I'm just recently engaged, and requested an appointment here online to try on some dresses that I…read morehave bookmarked. This is one of the few non-David's Bridal salons in the Kalamazoo area, and they carried the designer that I was looking at. I got a call a few hours later, wherein I was informed that this location closed "last month." WTF? Their website still lists the Portage location with address, phone number, store hours, and a map, and their Facebook page makes NO mention of this location closing. There are a couple of posts from October 2011 about a blowout sale, but nothing else. The girl on the phone was...mrgh. I was obviously disappointed that the Portage location closed, and she immediately launched into a spiel about a trunk show for bridesmaids dresses next weekend, listing off designers that I've never heard of (and don't care about), and finally ending with asking me when I was going to be in St. Joseph so we could set up my appointment. I NEVER once mentioned being in St. Joe (an hour away), any plans to go to St. Joe, and I requested an appointment for the Portage store. She never asked me anything about myself, my wedding, my vision...I get that that is probably something to discuss in depth at the appointment, but why waste the time rattling off designers when I have no plans to have my attendants wear "conventional" dresses? Also, if you have a location closing, it's probably a good idea to advertise that, since Google results still pull up the Portage location first and foremost.

I purchased my wedding gown here. The lady who helped me was really nice but after I picked up my…read moregown the hell began. When i picked it up everything looked fine. The sales woman convinced me to buy a larger dress to ensure a fit for my large bust so i knew I would have to alter it. I took the dress home and hung it in a closet. Two weeks later (a month before my wedding), I took the dress out to try it on before taking it a seamstress for alterations. as my mom began to zip it up, she noticed that the zipper was pulling away from the dress! Upon closer inspection, we found the internal stitching of the dress to be of very poor quality and already fraying! I immediately called the store. The first woman, I spoke with (Susan) tried to brush me off and said that she would check into it in a couple of days. The next morning I went into the store with my dress. This person did not want to look at it but put in a call to the store's owner and said she'd get back to be asap. The next morning Susan calls me to say that there was nothing they could do and insinuated that I had done something to the dress - this dress that has been touched once and is hanging off of me the one time I tried it on. She also suggested that since I was going to alter it anyway, that I go ahead and fix all of the stitching problems! This was an expensive gown that was falling apart at the seams - fixing it would require remaking the dress! I made it clear that I would expect someone from the store to examine the issue prior to throwing me to the wolves and that I was asking for HELP rather than a full refund. Still she insisted that there was nothing I could do. It wasn't until I made it clear that I was aware of business liability for selling crap merchandise, that I was a business owner, and that I would make it known throughout the entire community about their concern for their customers and their lack integrity in regards to the products they offer. The bottom line is that this establishment and its owner did not even attempt to address the issue. This is a manufacturer problem that may occur with similar dresses and styles. Rather than trying to get to the heart of the problem, they were rude and very unprofessional. Don't take your business here unless that is the type of service you expect.
