Dog poop on a yard in bellflower
    Lennie S.

City of Bellflower needs to get their act together all other cities have 24/7 parking enforcement when comes to parking issues on have my driveway blocked countless times fire hydrants blocked which is a big no no for the public safety and well being especially after witnessing what happened with the wild fires. Wild fires or not fire hydrants blocked have hoodlums with no license plates conducting illegal activity yet nothing gets done told over the phone until they might get stopped or a collision they CAN NOT COME simply ridiculous and embarrassing sounds as if this is a 3rd world country ppl with one address for a 2 bedroom having like 9 cars with 11 individuals being parking hogs and antagonizing neighbors that are elderly having like 3 dogs and feces all over the neighborhood nothing gets done yet the property taxes are no joke twice a year . City of Bellflower can do way better before it ends up being Skid Row. I'm sick and tired of dogs roaming and pooping on my yard yet if I address it to dog owner I made myself an enemy . Parking permits should start be issued for old junk cars that take up space and are an eye sore.

A government cannot make money independent from it's people. I have yet to see a noticeably clean gutter after an street sweeper passes. If a street gets 20 cars ticketed each day. That is over $1,000.00 per street each day and it doubles if you don't pay in time. To contest a ticket, it takes more time than the allowed grace period to pay it. Look at the map attached to see how many days a year this happens and on how many streets. People expressing grief after being towed minutes before closing time is 100% valid and has happened to me 4 times. My heart goes out to anyone who couldn't pay the daily fee and eventually lost their car to this cycle. I have personally been towed again since my last comment and successfully paid all tickets, all DMV fees, all tow yard costs and that sheriffs processing fee. Here is the route for those who this is happening to: -Pay tickets at DMV or sheriff station. -Pay Sheriff to process and release your car. -Pay for your tow and each day the keep your car. I wish more harmony to my fellow Bellflower visitors.

I fixed it. There's a front plate on my car

Here to complete my civil obligation and answer the call for Jury Duty. Star loss because I am used to the Norwalk courthouse that has a larger "corral" for us potential jurors and has many more little cubicles for people to still do work. This jury farm room has but two library-esque tables and that's it. Free Wi-Fi but it runs super slow. No cafeteria, just vending machines and you go through a security scan at entrance. If you are here for jury duty, bring stuff with you to do. This room has nothing but chairs like a mini theater without the main feature and the tables I mentioned. Food in the area? (This is still Yelp, right??) I am going to try that Koo-Koo grill place and if I am here longer, naturally a trip to Taco Nazo is warranted which never disappoints. Think of it like a flight, with internet but no Facebook or Twitter. Sitting around, sitting around...

I had to make the dreaded visit to the DMV when a driver's license renewed online never arrived in…read morethe mail. I got to the DMV around 11am and immediately saw a group of people hanging around the entrance. There was a staff member at the door who was trying to answer everyone's questions as they arrived. I followed the posted directions and used the QR code to check in. I was then directed to head over to a separate room to fill out another DL renewal form online. Make sure you take a pic of the confirmation number. They'll ask you for it later. I asked a staff member about receiving a text prior to my name being called and he confirmed that I would get a text about 10 mins prior. During the QR code check in process, you provide your phone number. The DMV will then send you a text, confirming your number. The text sent will also provide information on your place in line. This allowed me to sit outside away from the crowd. When I was called up, I got the unfriendly service the DMV is known for. I was told another DL would come in the mail after she reviewed my online form. Overall, besides the unfriendly service, I really liked the updated check in process and not having to wait inside for my name to be called. Thankfully, I wasn't charged again for this request.

So apparently the DMV has entered the modern era. There's no more standing in a long line just to…read morecheck in. You scan a QR code and self check-in. If you make an appointment online, they even send you a text the day before that lets you skip the line and check in 10 minutes early, as long as your location services are on. And honestly... THANK YOU. Standing in line just to say "I'm here" used to be unnecessarily frustrating. This new process is way more efficient (wild that it took this long to figure out). My daughter's appointment was at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 2:50 PM, checked in, and were out by 3:10 PM. Yes, you read that right. In and out. Y'all know that rarely happens at a DMV. This is officially the first time I've ever been pleased with a DMV experience.
