I came back on a different day and time and a different gentleman that was there was way more helpful. She was very rude and demanding. City of Bellflower needs to get their act together all other cities have 24/7 parking enforcement when comes to parking issues on have my driveway blocked countless times fire hydrants blocked which is a big no no for the public safety and well being especially after witnessing what happened with the wild fires. Wild fires or not fire hydrants blocked have hoodlums with no license plates conducting illegal activity yet nothing gets done told over the phone until they might get stopped or a collision they CAN NOT COME simply ridiculous and embarrassing sounds as if this is a 3rd world country ppl with one address for a 2 bedroom having like 9 cars with 11 individuals being parking hogs and antagonizing neighbors that are elderly having like 3 dogs and feces all over the neighborhood nothing gets done yet the property taxes are no joke twice a year . City of Bellflower can do way better before it ends up being Skid Row. I'm sick and tired of dogs roaming and pooping on my yard yet if I address it to dog owner I made myself an enemy . I had a sweeper citation to pay, overslept and forgot to move my car. Officers were friendly, they offered to grant me an extension or if I wanted a payment plan to pay the cite when I asked if there was anything other option besides contesting the cite. I paid the cite, but I'm glad the options are available. As I read the reviews here and listen to similar ones happening during my visit, seems like everyone complains for getting their vehicle towed even though they did not have registration for over 6 months and or not paying the excess of 5 or more delinquent citations. It baffles me see that people can complain, make bad reviews to agencies and point fingers at everyone except themselves. Common sense is not as common anymore I guess. read more

A government cannot make money independent from it's people. I have yet to see a noticeably clean gutter after an street sweeper passes. If a street gets 20 cars ticketed each day. That is over $1,000.00 per street each day and it doubles if you don't pay in time. To contest a ticket, it takes more time than the allowed grace period to pay it. Look at the map attached to see how many days a year this happens and on how many streets. People expressing grief after being towed minutes before closing time is 100% valid and has happened to me 4 times. My heart goes out to anyone who couldn't pay the daily fee and eventually lost their car to this cycle. I have personally been towed again since my last comment and successfully paid all tickets, all DMV fees, all tow yard costs and that sheriffs processing fee. Here is the route for those who this is happening to: -Pay tickets at DMV or sheriff station. -Pay Sheriff to process and release your car. -Pay for your tow and each day the keep your car. This is my personal account of the events that occurred on March 2nd, 2017 at 9 AM. Ms. Petke and myself were in my home on 14405 Cerritos avenue preparing to begin our days, Ms. Petke was proceeding outside to her vehicle when we noticed Officer Dan Chayra pull his public safety vehicle alarmingly fast to the side of her vehicle in an attempt to block her access to the car; So much so that the brakes chirped. At that moment a toe truck from Kenny's tow pulled up in front of her car and began to lower the tracks. Ms.Petke was rightfully to her vehicle before the public safety vehicle blocked her access. Officer Cheyra exited his vehicle and began to speak with Ms. Peke. I, alarmed, calmly came outside to ask officer Cheyra why he felt it was necessary to pull his car up at such high speeds especially with Ms. Petke directly in his path of travel. Officer Cheyra immediately became initimidatory and demanded I leave. I refused sighting that I was standing on my own property. Officer Cheyra then approached me in a very intimidating "hunched shoulders" manner and asked if "he was going to have to get back up." I told him please considering that he appeared to be attempting to escalate the situation. He radioed for back up which arrived as offer Dwyer (Dyer?) who I will say was very good at explaining the situation to us, as opposed to officer Cheyra who repeatedly refused to give myself or Ms.Petke any information regarding the tow or how to re-obtain our vehicle. A minute or two later to my surprise, 7 police cars pulled up to my property as if he had radioed in some kind of catastrophe. The Police Officers never said a word to any of us and merely hung out with one another and left us to officer Dyer (who continued to be a great example of what I want to expect from public safety) and Officer Cheyra who went back to his vehicle, only coming back at the very end to demand Ms.Petke surrender her key (which I have never seen someone do smiling before.) The tow took place and was made easier by officer Dyer holding our hand the whole time. The following day Ms. Petke went to Public safety in an attempt to pay her tickets and get a release form for her vehicle. Upon entering the building the clerk working that day happened to be Officer Cheyra. Officer Cheyra Spoke to Ms.Petke in a very condescending tone Stating "Boy you're sure back quickly" and initially refused her service sighting "You'll just have to wait, there are a lot people ahead of you." Despite the fact that Ms.Petke was one of only 2 in the office that morning. Ms. Petke requested that she be able to speak to another clerk and was initially refused by Officer Cheyra. Only after another officer volunteered himself into the situation did Ms. Petke get any help. I have been a Public Servant, Armed Security Officer, and Customer Service representative for the majority of my working life, and never have I encountered an officer who I felt had such a problem de-escalating if not instigating situations with the public; and frankly, I feel that a firm that employs and keeps such an officer is unworthy of being called a "Public Service." ALERT TO CITIZENS OF BELLFLOWER They are running the HUGEST SCAM out of this station. They towed a car on Friday just minutes before the towing company closes. Their reason? Expired tags The Truth? Probably kick backs for illegal tows and the money generated from this scam. Saturday the towing company is only open from 8-10am which means the car has to be impounded all weekend@ $35 a day. and $309 right off the bat for the initial tow. Come Monday, a trip to the DMV verified that the registration wasn't expired it has been valid since APRIL 2016, the sticker was likely stolen BUT because this office gets kick backs of some sort they make up bogus claims to tow cars and collect hefty fines from innocent citizens. If your car has been towed in Bellflower its highly likely it was an illegal impound. They truly take advantage of their citizens and it needs to be addressed and citizens need to be aware that this is happening. We had to pay $400+ right before Christmas because the only thing they are capable of is corruption. If I could give a -5 I would. Days of protecting and serving are long gone! read more

This place is horrible!! You would think they would help you but they do not you leave this place with zero guidance on what to do. I usually end up going to the Lakewood sheriff dept. (by best buy) they always help and answer any questions you may have. Here in Bellflower Sheriff substation there main concern is to be addressed as a sheriff even thought most of them wear those sky blue polo shirts! To me that is not a sheriff uniform that looks like a security guard uniform. They got upset when I called them "security guards" and not sheriff's. My whole visit there was me getting educated on how everyone in the station is a sheriff regardless of their uniform and they did not help me with my question. read more
