No sunbeds to take over space, so everyone is free to sit wherever he/she desires. There are bathrooms for changing, a canteen and usual some trailers with coffee and ice-cream are around. Svanemøllen Strand is our local hangout - perfect for a dip, instant grill and a game of football. It is great to be able to bike somewhere to play in the sand and water with the kids. Small and manmade, it is clean and functional. The pier is lovely to relax and jump off into the water. Not a beach holiday kind of beach, but a nice space for a family afternoon or evening out together.

A quick walk through a pleasant neighborhood, then a very short walk through the woods and a small park. There's a toilet at the bathing structure. Also, when we went, there was a snack bar. And there is also a parking lot. The structure is remarkably interesting -- a great place to take a high dive plunge or slip in and paddle around. The water was chilly but refreshing. It felt safe and convenient and was a wonderful slice of Danish life. Try the pleasant cafe just to the north.

Designed by White Arkitekter, it's a very nice building, all in wood. You can swin from it, sink from it, have sun. There are mainly teens in the "loop"but it's very funny to see them, talking, dredging, etc... Then, you can go there by metro or bicycle. There's a nice promenade all along the sea, in Amager Strandpark. It's magic !

You had to walk on seaweed to get to the actual water. Furthermore the sand area is quite small and not clean ( meaning that the sand is full of branches, big stones and stuff like that) so not many people enjoy the sand area but instead sit on the grass. And I don't mind sitting on the grass. I love parks! But parks are for that purpose. When I go to the beach I want to lie on the sand. So I definitely have some other beaches that I prefer over this one. However it's extremely nice for a walk as it has the fort on the background. So it is a nice place to go to. I would just choose another beach on a lovely sunny day..
