It was an amazing experience and we loved that this was our home to start our honeymoon. Prior to our stay, my wife was provided with many recommendations by Ida from their Booking department/front desk team. Since it was our first time in Italy and at this hotel it was nice to have some insight on what to do while there. Vico Equense/Seiano was our base to get to Sorrento for different day trip activities we had while there. Annalisa was extremely polite and helpful when we checked in. She was our first contact upon arriving and she was so nice. She set the tone for all of the front desk agents and staff that we had the pleasure of meeting while there. She gave us an initial tour of the property and showed us to our room. We had a Classic Double Room which had a nice view of Vico Equense from one window and small balcony with a view of Mt. Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The room was nice, clean, and, comfortable. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco, note, and some sweets to celebrate the occasion. Each morning we had breakfast on the beautiful terrace and were greeted by the Giovanni and wonderful team at L'Accanto. The view, food, and service at this Michelin star restaurant were excellent. Breakfast was included with our stay and the attentive staff and presentation of the food from morning to night make me want to return. Just know that for dinner you must wear pants. I had no problem with Overall, we loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Each day we were helped by the wonderful front desk team. We want to thank Annalisa, Ida, Adriana, Emanuela, and Gennaro for always being there to answer any questions, greet us with a smile, sell us train tickets, or help us in reserving the shuttle to the Seiano train station. They were all so attentive and pleasant to my wife and me. We had day trips 3 of the 4 days at the hotel and I feel like each morning we were asking them for help, and they obliged. After the long days it was always great to return to the hotel where they were there to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

A complete jewel of a hotel!…read more I truly did not want to leave this place. It's beautiful, unique, boasts magnificent views, and the staff is exceptional. From the second we stepped onto the grounds they were nothing but helpful and truly warm. And it was clear that their mannerisms weren't contrived efforts. They had to have had the most helpful concierge that I've ever come across because we wanted for absolutely nothing. They arranged travel tickets, a car service, luggage storage... our stay couldn't have been easier or more relaxing. And I loved the welcome gifts that were in the room... along with the mini bar :D Having breakfast out on the terrace was serene and the best part of the day for me. The spread was varied, delicious, and laid out in an elegant fashion. I've gotta say that the self-serve mimosa table brought me immense joy, lol. Dinner at the restaurant was first rate with some beautiful wines and a perfectly paced meal that was followed by drinks in a little recessed bar with a lookout over the outdoor pool. It was a fantastic stay and I'm very much looking forward to visiting again.

I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!

This beautiful property has all you'd expect for a comfortable, luxurious and relaxing vacation on the Amalfi coast. Regardless where you stay at, I actually highly recommend renting a car being on the coast. There's parking garages in all the major towns (Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento) and you can explore so much more. It'll make getting here a lot easier too. This location is actually very close to Sorrento city center, and driving here is a breeze. There's ample free parking available, and the rooms are tidy and clean. The marble floors are dust free and the bedding and mattress are extremely comfortable. They provide breakfast for free with a freshly grounded coffee made by Danilo and a customizable omelette made by Gaetano. There are also a variety of other pastries, yogurt and cereal along with a variety of fresh juices. Reading past negative reviews of the breakfast shows they really stepped it up by a long shot. There's really no details they missed here. Everything on the property is amazing. Being up so high on the coast, you can relax in the hot tub and soak up the beautiful skyline of the sea, or take a dip in the pool. In 15 minutes you're in Sorrento, in 25 minutes you're in Positano. You really cannot expect much more, and the family here knocks it out of the park. We will truly miss this special place, and the three brothers and family who run this place. They will treat you like family and we will definitely be back. No other experience in Italy on our trip has held a candle to what this place and the Amalfi Coast has shown us. Grazie, arrivederci

They put on cooking classes, raise chickens for fresh eggs, have a pool overlooking their beautiful vistas and will soon finish a terrazzo to hold outdoor events. The property is perfectly situated. On paper it looks far from Sorrento but really it's not and the 15 minute drive is worth every minute because La Villa is on one of the highest points on the peninsula and the vistas are UNBELIEVABLE. Personally I loved the curvy hairpin drive up and down, but if that's not your speed, the hosts will shuttle you around for very reasonable rates. I can't say enough about how great our stay was... Proprio l'ottimo, la sincera verità. Mille grazie, ragazzi!

Having said that though, the amenities, facilities, service, etc tend to be top notch at these hotels of course and this adds to the magical aspect of vacationing in this beautiful region. When researching where to stay we were mainly looking for a centrally located hotel with a pool and Grand Hotel La Favorita met this simple criteria. The hotel itself was on a great location, a few blocks away from the main strip, walking distance from all the main sites and just around the corner from the elevator that takes you to the lower level of the cliff from where you can walk to the port (this is important especially if you're using ferries as a mode of transportation). The decor of the hotel is beautiful and enchanting. They have lemon trees all around the ground floor and in the garden area. The furniture in the common areas is elegant and classic. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom, which had a tub (not separate from the shower). We didn't have a room with a view (we booked a classic double room) but honestly I'm not sure how much of a view other rooms have since there is a large hotel right in front of La Favorita which appears to block the views of the water. Perhaps the only rooms that I could see having a partial water view are the ones facing the side street (Via Tasso) and the ones on the top floors, but I'm not entirely sure. The room had a safe, complimentary sparkling and still water, coffee maker and coffee, robes and slippers as well as nice toiletries. We got delicious Baci chocolates left on our nightstands after each time the room was made up. They also had a pillow menu, from which you could literally pick the type of pillow of your choice depending on your preference (soft, medium, feathers, etc). I have never seen a pillow menu at a hotel before so I thought this was an interesting and fine detail, however I didn't really take advantage of it, I just kept the pillows that were already on the bed. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room had blinds which when closed kept the room pitch dark. The only two criticisms I have for this hotel are regarding the AC and the poor drainage in the bathtub. The AC really didn't work well and didn't cool the room much despite me trying to lower the temperature to 16C. Also, the water pooled in the tub as we showered and didn't drain completely until the water from the shower was completely turned off. and the poor drainage in the tub. We didn't actually complaint to anyone about this, not sure what if anything they could have done about it though. The main highlight of this hotel has to be their fantastic rooftop pool with great views of the city, the hills and the Vesuvius. We took advantage of using the pool every evening after we came back from exploring the towns. The water in the pool is cold and that was perfect to cool off from the intense heat. The bar and restaurant are also on the rooftop and although we did not have dinner there, we did enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset. The rooftop pool was a perfect spot to relax and it was everything we were hoping for. Another great thing about this hotel was their fantastic breakfast served in a spacious dining area, on the balcony or out on the giardino. They had an amazing spread pastries, breads, cold and hot items, fruits, cereals, as well as an omelette station. Espresso drinks were made to order and to your liking (I always asked for my cappuccino to be made strong since I don't like them too milky). Service was impeccable. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Sorrento.

The housekeeper had just left it there, like it was a normal part of the routine, which is exactly what makes you wonder what happens in these rooms when guests aren't looking. When we flagged it, the manager, Daniela, brushed it off as a "mistake," insisted the bidet was "clean," and actually suggested guests don't know what a bidet is. We've owned one for 10+ years--we know exactly what it's for. Her fix for this nasty, unsanitary situation? Three bottles of water. Three. For a five-star hotel, that's a disturbing lapse in sanitation, and an even more disturbing lack of accountability.

The veranda restaurant seemed like the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However... the experience was very disappointing. The waitstaff was very inattentive overall (awful service), the waitress was rude and our food arrived more than one hour after we were seated, which was 15 minutes later than our reservation. Late in the evening.. not even during peak dining hours. The food lacked flavor and was overall inferior. The prawns smelled and tasted as if they were not fresh. The pasta was thick and flavorless and not consistent with other wonderful food we had experienced thus far. Overall not happy. If it weren't for the beautiful atmosphere and view, there would be ZERO reason to eat here. Do as someone else suggested which was to enjoy the sunset with drinks here and eat somewhere else!

Definitely on the high end so if your budget can't afford a week, spend two nights here. That's what I did before meeting friends for the remainder of my time in Sorrento. Since the next four days were full of touring different towns on the Amalfi coast, a boat ride to Capri and the Blue Grotto, and Pompei, I joined them at a different hotel that was more affordable since we basically were just sleeping and showering there.
