So when we moved out to abbotsford we went in to try and furnish our new house. We went in for a couch and love seat. The sales staff were all very friendly and listened to what we were looking for. Let us take material samples to make sure the colors were what we wanted. It was very low pressure sales. We looked at the end tables and they mentioned a buy more save more event so we held off and purchased them when the sale came on.

They have always allowed dogs in the store with water dishes. There was NO sign saying he couldn't come in. I continued to walk in the store and this lady came over and VERY RUDELY said get your dog out of here we used to allow them but due to covid he can't come in. I cannot believe how RUDE they were. He is only a 20 pound Frenchie and was being really good. Dogs can NOT transmit covid to someone if they get it from a person who does have it and he got it then he can only give it to dogs NOT people. Like you think I'm gonna leave my dog in the car and overheat! Then we decided to go in the outlet in south surrey since they were VERY RUDE and disrespectful. We went in there and they let 2 dogs in the store in front of us. So I decided to pick my dog up so the same situation didn't happen as the Abbotsford location he said take him out and don't bring him back in. They had treats on the able AND a water dish on the floor no sign saying no dogs and the fact that he let other dogs in and on the floor mine couldn't even be in my arms in the store. He said since they knew about that tiger who got covid and tried telling me someone was given covid from a dog. I had told him that it can NOT but still kept him outside. He was waiting for my mom who went in the store too and he was crying outside cause he wanted to be with her. How dare they be so rude And disrespectful to customers. We decided to NOT buy from either store even though they had stuff that we liked. But why go back to support rude ignorant people. Things should go back to normal for my dog before I come back! Or put a sign saying they can't come in!

I was told only the store manager could do it, but he was not in the store that day. Told he would call, never did. Called the store to find out that their phone doesn't work anymmore. Told in the store they were having "systems" issues. Finally got a hold of someone in customer care outside of BC to be told that I didn't cancel fast enough and now am being charged a 10% admin fee totalling approx. $600 for furniture that isn't being delivered from a store that doesn't have a working phone line or in-store manager to process customers when they come inside. Disappointed & will never buy from this store again. Looking through the reviews I see I am not the only person scammed.

We contacted customer care and were instructed to use a fabric shaver to fix the issue. My wife did as they had said, and it resulted in the fabric tearing and leaving a tear about 3 inches long. We reached out to customer care again, just to be told it wasn't their problem. We went I to the store to speak to the manager. He seemed more than eager to help. We forwarded him the email chain and photos. He assured us that our issue would be corrected. He told us someone would reach out to us in the next few days. We didn't hear from anyone. We contacted the store again and at that time we were told that we would have to pay to fix it ourselves. We told the manager that that was unacceptable and that he needed to make this right. That's when the store went radio silent. They would not return our calls over the next several weeks. My wife decided to call again on a random Saturday morning, and no one answered right away, but a few minutes later, the manager called back. I answered the phone and asked a very simple question, "Where do you want me to leave this furniture? Inside your front door, outside your front door or just out in the parking lot?". The manager hung up. So, we threw a couple of the cushions in my truck, which showed an abundance of fraying and headed to the store so they could see the terrible craftsmanship for themselves. As we walked in the door of Ashley's, the manager started yelling that we needed to leave. He made a complete scene, saying that we had threatened HIM and demanded that we get out or he would call the cops. We eventually did walk out, taking our cushions with us... off to small claims court we go. If I could have left zero stars, I would have.

When buying a mattress he was more concerned with our needs, what we required in a mattress. He gave us honest advice, never rushed us but rather he encouraged us to take our time trying various, similar mattresses. We never felt pushed to buy a more expensive one but rather encouraged us to purchase one that met our needs. Vipul could certainly teach others the art of customer service. We were so impressed that we then decided that we would buy a mattress protector, pillow and new stove from Vipul at the same time. Matress has has been delivered and we are adjusting to the newness of it. We have been assured that we have a number of weeks to be sure that it is the set for us or else they will exchange. Looking forward to doing more business with Vipul in the future, perhaps he will be the manager by then.

To make matters worse, they snuck an expensive appliance warranty onto my stove purchase without explaining the terms They deliberately delayed sending the paperwork for over 30 days. The moment the 30-day cancellation window passed, they emailed me a rejection stating it was "too late" to cancel. This is predatory behavior. On top of this, their supervisor is incredibly rude and relies on intimidation tactics. The store manager completely ignores customer emails and hides behind incompetent supervisors.
