From our first warm and friendly phone call to the last curl she put in my hair on our wedding day, Lea's kindness, talent, and professionalism have blown me away. She did an amazing job on my hair trial and then somehow an even more beautiful job on our wedding day! Both hairstyles held up through lots of dancing, hugs, and warm weather. I never thought my hair could look so stunning. Lea is not only a great artist but a wonderful person. She is easy to talk to and so sweet. Lea brought exactly the vibes I wanted in our getting-ready suite AND kept us on schedule! That is no easy feat. I'm already looking forward to the next special occasion that I can get my hair done with Lea, and I also plan to check out her education offerings in the future, too!

Lea did hair and makeup for my recent elopement in South Lake Tahoe. Not only did she exceed my…read moreexpectations in the planning process with her amazing personality & excellent communication, but she executed flawlessly on the big day. The planning process from 2,000 miles away was definitely more than I originally anticipated when I decided to get married in Lake Tahoe. From the moment I first interacted with Lea she made it clear that I could have one less thing to worry about with regards to my hair & makeup. Not only did she listen intently, she gave me honest feedback and was able to reassure me in that planning process. Her personality is so bubbly and calming and you can tell that she is a genuinely happy person who loves making people feel beautiful. I ended up texting her ONE day before that my flower girls had changed their mind and now really wanted their hair done. No problem for Lea- not only did she accommodate this request last minute, but she handled their individual requests with such care that they and their mamma were all thrilled with the results. On my wedding day it rained off and on the ENTIRE day, and during the ceremony it literally started dumping and took me a couple minutes to secure an umbrella. Despite the weather, and my being outside for probably a total of 6 hours that day, my hair and makeup held flawlessly. I really don't remember giving her any directions for my make up other than "natural glam" and I have never ever in my entire life felt so beautiful. It was me- 100% - with an elegant touch. I can't really say enough. Weddings are emotional always, and my own personal journey was full of SO many feelings and Lea handled us all with such care and grace and really pulled it off. I have never felt so beautiful and am truly amazed that someone who was a "stranger" to me before hand was able to execute EXACTLY what was in my head. I really loved every moment!

But it was my birthday I was given money to go get my hair lifted I wanted it lifted as much as she was able to do because I wanted to personally put a fantasy color on top once it was light enough like i had done a few years back although last time i had gone to a different salon (jcpennys) they got my hair from black/brown to blonde in 1 day. I knew it would not get to that point in one session here. I can never afford to go get my hair done so this was a big deal for me I wanted it lifted and even. My hair was 7 different shades when she was done. I played 120$ for multicolored orange hair she did not even attempt to tone it. I played and don't like face to face confrontation but when I got into my BFS car I was in tears my hair was ruined not only was it a million colors but it was fried beyond repair..... What I ended up doing was going straight to sally getting bleach and toner, I was able to salvage my hair somewhat to the point of getting it almost all the way even and toning the shit out of it. I had to go find a new stylist so I could get a cut to remove all of the damage that was done mostly by her to my hair. I don't recommend color from here. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with my hair.

BUYER BEWARE!…read more Nikki's response is basically that my entire experience was "false" with "fabricated facts." She dismissed my review as "false news." Sounds a lot like someone in the white house. I would't go out of my way to describe in detail the terrible product and service that Nikki provided without it being true. I have better things to do with my time. Girl's and women alike deserve to know what type of business they're exchanging their money with. Nikki claims that I went to another salon and had my extensions "demolished" by someone inexperienced, then complained to get my money back. This is absolutely NOT TRUE. Nikki falsely advertised "high quality" hair that matted and tangled after a few weeks. I only tried to see her about this and got the run-around for weeks. Then the boot. Nikki states that I also sent her pictures of the products I used which were "filled with ingredients to avoid." This is also completely false. I never sent her pictures and my hair is thin and sensitive so I have only ever used organic & natural hair products. She claims I have THICK hair. My hair is BABY THIN. That I told her I was a "starving" musician? Never. That I refused her advice of getting an extra track because of my "thick hair?" Never. That I used a "false" price of $500? Why would I make up a price?? That Nikki tried to give me a chair and I just argued my "ignorant points?" All I wanted was for Nikki to see me. And that I was a "nightmare client?" These claims and passive-aggressive remarks are offensively false. Nikki Mumolo is a pathological liar who has absolutely NO integrity and takes ZERO accountability for her mistakes. Nikki claims that I waited until 2017 to post a "horrendously fabricated review" (because that's just what I do for fun apparently) when in fact, she mistakenly EMAILED me an invoice June of 2017, reminding me of the awful experience and thus deciding to share my unfortunate story about Nikki. I'm writing this review not only as someone who wears extensions but as a professional hairstylist…read moreand extension specialist myself. Nikki started me on my journey to learning extensions over 10 years ago. What I love about Nikki's approach to hair extensions is that for her it's not just about instant satisfaction going from short to long hair. Nikki has taken the time to learn and specialize in many different extension methods and techniques, because a good bulk of her clientele are dealing with scalp issues and hair issues that need to be treated gently. So many times extensions are viewed as a luxury item reserved for the elite or celebrities in the public eye. However, for so many women who go through illnesses, hormones, and hereditary issues that cause damage or balding, we are often left in the dark as to what we can do about it. Nikki takes the time to learn your entire hair history, what your life is like at home, and really discovers the best method and air quality for your lifestyle. She's done all of her homework on ingredients and tells you exactly what to use on your hair and exactly how to do it. If you follow her expertise, you will not be disappointed!
