Best part of the meal. Mains were Afghan lamb in a brown sauce and a chicken in a red sauce called Punjabi taste, promised green chillies but I had none.. Both meats were cooked but both sauces were bland and virtually tasteless. They came with a choice of four rice or four bread. We had one pilau and one garlic naan. We had a reasonable bottle of Malbec for 15 pound with it. Service was friendly and efficient. Open kitchen at back so you can see them cooking whilst you are waiting outside the only toilet. I am pretty sure our mains were bland because we ordered from the set menu. I will go again and will opt for one of the game or fish dishes. My companion ordered the jumbo platter: he did manage to get outside of it, but the effort left him sweating and red-faced. Or perhaps that was the over-heated atmosphere: for some reason the place was about the temperature of the oil the fish was fried in, despite it being full summer at the time.
