A girl and I got our haircuts at the same time and she and her stylist had to wait while I was shampooed. Probably wasn't the most fun for her, I'm glad I wasn't the one waiting. Rachel talked to me about what I wanted and asked me questions which I appreciate in a stylist. Then she gave me a great scalp massage during the shampoo. I could have gone home then and been happy. During the cut she took the time to check her work and added in some angled scissoring at the ends. I'm not an expert at hair cutting techniques but my hair style was exactly what I'd described and wanted. I will definitely be back for Rachel. The negatives of the salon are its lack of more than one shampoo bowl and the need for a privacy screen or some sort of camouflage for their back area for the employees.

This 70 year old, living on a very limited retirement income, has been letting my gray hair grow…read moreout for awhile and saving money to do a gray hair transition process so I don't have to continue spending money on keeping up my hair color. I did some research and it appeared Victoria had knowledge of this technique, so I went in for a consultation, brought several photos of what I expected, and she told me it was possible. She told me my grow out was 50% salt and pepper gray, so basically the other half of my hair (the ends) would need "silvery/white" highlights blended in with my grow out and the washed out brown color would need a toner to make it closer to the pepper color of my hair. Those are not the results I received at all. Then to add insult to injury, the next day I sent photos to Victoria of the inferior results of my hair, in different lighting situations (see single photo). Then she sent this double photo back with my hair before she foiled and added toner to my hair and what she CLAIMS was a photo of my hair after she finished my hair. Clearly, ANYONE can see it is not the same hair. And on top of it, the pre-photo was before she cut 3 inches off the bottom of my hair! She is not willing to fix my hair for the money she charged and I wouldn't want her too. She is also refusing to reimburse this 70 year old the $500 cash she paid her. So BEWARE, of this person's lack of hair processing knowledge and unethical work habits as she refused to give me my money back for the inferior job, she did. p.s. I would have given zero stars if Yelp would have let me.

Predatory Billing and Impossible PoliciesI am extremely disappointed in the business practices at…read moreVR Hair. I was a potential client who tried to be flexible by accepting a last-minute appointment offered only 23 hours in advance. When my flight was delayed due to military training, I notified the stylist immediately (18 hours before the slot).Despite the appointment being booked less than a day prior, the stylist charged my card $414--an amount that exceeded her own maximum quote of $400. She attempted to justify this using a "48-hour cancellation policy" which was mathematically impossible to follow since the booking didn't even exist 48 hours prior. She also added an unauthorized "convenience fee" to this penalty. When I asked for a refund, she stopped responding and only offered a short-term "credit." I have been forced to initiate a bank chargeback and file a report with the WA State Department of Licensing. If you are looking for a stylist who values professional trust and fair billing, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
