I give 100 stars to Mariana and the team at Bella Figura! My husband and I had so much fun working with Mariana on our wedding invitations. When we first reached out to Bella Figura for a consultation, we had no idea what we really wanted for our invites. In the initial consultation (which was 1.5 hours!) Mariana gave us good advice and ideas on how to bring our love story, taste, and needs to life. We were so happy with the experience that we chose Bella Figura (after shopping around at other vendors) for our invitations. Mariana is very professional and communicative. She has a wealth of knowledge in the industry and gave her honest opinion on certain aspects, such as paper type, style, etc. We appreciated it, since it showed us that she knows what works and what doesn't, as opposed to some vendors that said "anything you want!" We had so much confident in her ability and advice. Our invitations were STUNNING. We still receive compliments on them. They were a trifold piece in English and Spanish, with a hand drawn picture of our church on the front. It was so unique and classic, and exuded elegance. Included were detail cards that were just as good. We were so happy with the product that we went back to Bella Figura to design ceremony programs for our church service. The final product was so clean, classic, and sentimental. Mariana and her team were clear and accessible throughout the process, and patient with us with all our edits and changes. I am so incredibly happy that we chose Bella Figura. I recommended Bella Figura to my sister, who is engaged, and she is already so excited to start the process. Thank you all so much for working with us and creating a memory that we will forever cherish! read more

Mariana is the best! I highly recommend her for your wedding invitations. She spent a long time with my mom and me. We picked out the perfect look! read more

My wife and I used Bella Figura for our wedding invitations and we could not be happier with how they came out and also with the service Mariana provided throughout the whole process. Mariana was attentive, responsive and a pleasure to work with. She made picking out invitations fun and easy! We also didn't come in knowing what we want and made a lot of custom edits - she gave her valuable opinion on what was feasible / would look good while also getting creative and thinking outside the box with us. Mariana even went to the post office for us to weigh our invites so we knew how much postage to get. Our guests were raving about the way the invitations looked. We got several calls, texts and outreach after we sent them out. They came out very high quality and elegant. Would recommend to anyone looking for an invitation place! read more

My husband, Tyler, and I decided to use Bella Figura for our wedding invitations at the recommendation of our wedding planner, Wedding Kate. Bella Figura and their staff are amazing. Mariana Stein at the Upper East Side location in NYC is fantastic. I looked through 100s of books with her on multiple visits to the store. She helped me think through paper, color, and design. When we couldn't find exactly what I was looking for she helped us work on a custom design with Leslie, one of their designers. Leslie was a true professional and amazingly talented as well. We went through about five edits with her before we got it just right. We are so in love with the final product. It surpassed our wildest dreams. Thank you to Mariana and Leslie! We would recomend Bella Figura to anyone looking. read more

Great place and help from Mariana!! She was wonderful and really helped us. I will go back again for sure when we need to get invitations!!

As someone who geeks out over beautiful paper and typography, I knew that finding the right place to create our wedding invitations would be a priority for me. Luckily, I kept coming across Bella Figura, and decided to schedule an appointment at their UES location. We met with Mariana, who walked us through the letterpress process and the many different customizations available--everything from types of paper, ink and foil colors, belly bands, wax seals, custom artwork, calligraphy, etc. Seeing all of the different samples in person helped us get an initial idea of what we were looking for, and Mariana was able to give us quotes for a couple different options. She really took the time to make sure we knew the wide range of possibilities, and sent us home with a stack of samples. Our designer, Meaghan, was wonderful and super patient with us during the proof process. We were a little indecisive, so having her guidance on choosing typefaces and layout was invaluable. We loved that we had the option to submit our own artwork, as we were able to create something very personal, but Bella Figura's own library of motifs is gorgeous too. The team was very helpful with questions of wording/etiquette, and the way you submit guest addresses is really straightforward. The production time for the invitations is fairly quick (and there are rush options available). We received ours recently, and the quality of the final product is incredible. We chose a mix of ink and foil stamping on cotton paper, and they look truly special. We are so excited to send these out to our guests! A note on pricing: letterpress or custom invitations are never going to be the cheapest option, and for something that a lot of people will probably toss out, it may not be a priority for everyone. However, a Bella Figura invitation will definitely leave a lasting impression on your guests and set the tone for your wedding, if that's what you are looking for. What you're getting for the price is a unique, beautiful product printed in NY using green printing methods, as well as excellent customer service and design. We are so pleased with our choice, and will definitely be returning to order day-of pieces as well! Thanks, Bella Figura! read more

Bella Figura exceeded all expectations for my fiancé and I. We used their services for our wedding and rehearsal dinner invitations and we could not be happier. We worked with Mariana at their shop in Manhattan - she was so helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. She made the process so much fun and helped us find the perfect suite. After we placed the order, Sarah helped us coordinate with Katie, the designer, to work through the proofing process and get the design and language exactly how we wanted. The level of professionalism at each step with each person was just beyond. We are thrilled with the end product and can't wait to send them out. If we ever need invitations again in the future, we will not hesitate to call Bella Figura! Five stars and would absolutely recommend to anyone. read more

It was an absolute pleasure meeting and working with Mariana Stein during my first invitation consult. She is kind, patient, honest, and gives you an abundance of high quality options. I highly recommend everyone to visit Bella Figura if they want a professional and smooth process to design your dream stationary. One of the best parts of my visit was that I got to bring home samples of my options to get a feel for them before making my final decision! read more

I looked at so many invitation companies, from the cheaper catalogue ones to the fanciest letterpress or hand written ones and I am very pleased I ended up with Bella Figura. They have fantastic prices for letterpress and the final product was amazing. I love that I was able to personalize everything. I even had the text for my invitations hand written by a calligrapher to make the model for the letterpress for no extra charge! My contact was so sweet and never gave me a hard time about wanting to change something, even if it was a little, seemingly insignificant thing. They made it so easy to get everything I was looking for. I love my beautiful invitations! I can't wait to send them out. I'll definitely use them again if I ever have something special enough for letterpress paper products. read more

My fiance and I used Bella Figura after my friend (Emily R.) used them for her wedding. I loved her invitations, and she had such great things to say about them. When I went on the website, I was blown away by the design options. The only warning I have is, once you decide on a pattern, don't look on their website again because they are always coming up with new and beautiful designs! We were completely set to order, and then the day we went on to place our order, we saw that they had about 15 new designs! We ended up going with one that they had just come out with. Seriously, some really beautiful and unique stuff. They are also really responsive to emails, and have a quick turn around for the previews. You get 3 rounds of changes, and they send you a full color PDF so you can get a feel for what your color choices and font choices will look like. They also send you samples that they charge you for, but then can deduct from your order if (probably more like WHEN) you order from them. It all comes beautifully packaged in a chocolate brown box. When you order your samples they include all of the different papers, colors, etc. so that you can see them live and in color. You are assigned a specific staff person to work with, and as mentioned above, they are really great and patient about answer your questions. I can't say enough great things about them! read more

My fiancé and I couldn't be happier with our lovely Bella Figura wedding invitations! My fiancé and I were looking at wedding invitations at places like Paper Source and Minted. Most of the styles from these places were typical wedding invitations. They were boring and forgettable. We wanted something different while also being price conscious. We really wanted letterpress, but we were not sure we wanted to spend the extra money. That's when Bella Figura came into the picture. My fiancé forwarded an email with a promotion they were having for their "design of the month." The "Modern Garden" design was perfect for our outdoor, summertime wedding. That sparked an interest and we started looking at all the options. We started a conversation with Jessica, a client coordinator and she was very helpful. We asked her countless questions, but she was always patient with us and very helpful in helping us assemble our perfect wedding invitation ensemble. Lindsy, our wedding invitation designer, was also very insightful and responsive. Despite the fact that Bella Figura is located in New York and my fiance and I reside in California, communicating with them was very easy. They were always prompt to respond via telephone or email. In addition to producing high-quality and unique letterpress wedding invitations, it was also reassuring to know that the company itself is eco-friendly and socially conscious. The turnaround time from ordering to actually receiving the invitations was much faster (10 business days) than other invitation stores. And our invitations arrived neatly and elegantly packaged in a beautiful box. We just mailed out our invitations and are already receiving compliments on the beautiful and out-of-the ordinary design! We highly recommend Bella Figura to brides looking for high-quality, elegant and unique invitations! read more

My husband and I ordered our invitation suite and other wedding paper from Bella Figura through a third party vendor. The invitations were simply stunning. They are quite pricey, but they are so worth it! We received so many compliments on our gorgeous and classic invitations/programs/menus/etc. with gold foil hand calligraphy. Word of advice - be sure to proofread, proofread again, and then proofread one more time. Thank you, Bella Figura, for our beautiful wedding paper!!! read more

The people that work in the NYC UES store are great - very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - they could not be better. They know more about paper, calligraphy and small details (how to address sending to 2 people not married but live together, etc.). The woman I worked with, Linda (Thanks Linda!!!) with was patient, explained everything to me and tried to help keep (keyword help) me within budget. This level of expertise was helpful. Anyways, for those of you out there planning a wedding on a budget, hit the back button now! This place is SUPER expensive (#Iblewmybudget). My friends jaws actually dropped when I told them the cost per invitation/return invitation. I also reluctantly took the no frills path (no foil, all computer printed route, cheapest "nice" paper, had a return postcard instead of card/envelope), and I am still horrified at the final bill. HOWEVER they turned out truly spectacular and we received many rave reviews, so far as that someone made a memory glass box with our invitation as the center with some sand and shells from our (beach) wedding, which is meaningful and is something you cannot put a price tag on. 3 things that really bothered me... The Learning Curve! I didn't want this to be a joint effort. We had to obtain stock images they did not have that we wished to use ourselves - we had a page in the passport book with passport "stamps" - literally start to finish we had to find (thank you Google) and pay for the high res images we wanted to use and adhere to specific image sizing guidelines. So I spend $70 and a few hours educating myself and doing that. For the price of the invitations and not knowing what the hell I was doing (and that they didn't have what I needed in their library of images), I thought that they should have covered that - the searching and cost. I obviously am never going to use these images I purchased again, whereas them doing it, they could add them to their library. Paper "types" were not on site - samples were mailed to you (and you had to wait, etc.) rather than just being able to see them while in design mode in the store and pick it out and move on. The PRICE I got my thank you cards/envelopes from Wedding Paper Divas which were 13% (yes, I calculated) of the cost of my wedding invitations and you can surely see a difference...but not sure enough to justify the cost. Yes, it is the lovely Upper East Side of Manhattan, but everything is printed in Syracuse NY. For anyone with half a brain cell you understand you're paying NYC premium for a product that only the storefront is in NYC. They must be making a killing. I've contemplated starting to make invitations for a living. Rush fee was basically 50% of your total bill. That's bonkers and I am pretty sure a nice way of saying "you better apologize you even asked!" Billing as I remember it always seemed "off." I dealt with someone Kyle who was pretty "cold" and almost robotic. Overall very satisfied with the product, but still uneasy about the price and value. #mixedfeelings read more

It took us a while to find the right wedding stationery company but when we finally found Bella Figura they were everything we were hoping for and more! Their designs are truly elegant without being stuffy or sparse--really delicate, creative, vibrant, and with a lot of variety and options to customize. The designs and papers are extremely fine quality and have a really special look. We started with a sample we saw in the store and customized it for font style and color. We ended up with the most beautiful floral invitations with subtle rose gold touches on oversize thick paper and envelopes with rose gold liners. The invitations feel elegant but also creative and unique. The pricing is on the higher end, but for what they offer it is truly much more reasonable than comparable companies, which, from my initial search, charged far more for far less. I am even more excited about these invitations than I even imagined and I know they will make an amazing introduction for our guests to what we hope our wedding will be. We worked with Su-Queen who was absolutely amazing in every way. She spent a lot of time answering our questions and giving thoughtful guidance--she's really an expert in this, both regarding design and etiquette (which designs make sense together or not, options for wording for the invitations etc). She was extremely attentive but also gave us time to look through and think about the samples on our own to make our own decisions. The coordination of the shipment/delivery was seamless as well, as was the responsiveness to emails as we were sorting through our designs and our final order. The combination of the amazing people who work here like Su-Queen and the stunning quality and range of the invitations themselves make this place truly special. read more

Yikes. My fiance and I used Bella Figura for save the dates and the process was a nightmare. We went to the store for two in person meetings where every detail of what we wanted was discussed and recorded in our files. Or so we thought. Upon arriving at our second meeting to clarify some of the smaller details, we were told they couldn't find our file and that we needed to start over. After our second meeting we were then sent a link that we were asked to approve - all of the details included in the link (which were just discussed in person) were completely wrong. After adjusting everything ourselves and submitting the contract, we didn't hear from them for a week. When we contacted them to ask what had happened, they didn't know what to say and made us start over for a 3rd time. In our opinion, it's worth paying these type of prices if the service is up to par, however in our experience, the service at Bella Figura is sub-par at best. Planning a wedding is stressful enough. Don't add to the headache by working with a vendor that can't communicate internally. read more

Honestly, I'm giddy to write this review. Bella Figura was above all expectations when it came to ordering our wedding invites. I met with Mariana in the store and she was incredibly patient, kind and beyond helpful. Together, she guided me through the entire process. She listened to all my scattered thoughts and ideas and just knew what to do! She helped me to pick out designs, colors, fonts, and paper. She helped with the wording and when we were would get stuck along the process, she was always available to help give her professional opinion. Honestly, Mariana was a dream to work with and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the chance to work with her. Our designer was Katie and she did a fantastic job. She was prompt with all our revisions and I truly felt that she cared to make sure I was happy with the final product. Theresa, who handled the shipping was also wonderful! Now... all this and I haven't even begun to explain how AMAZING out invites turned out. I adore them. They arrived beautiful packaged and hand wrapped. I am just overjoyed with how they came out and it truly has been a highlight of the whole wedding planning process. read more

I just went into Bella Figura on the Upper East Side. The store was empty besides the two older ladies who work there. I had to speak to them since they didn't greet me. I asked about custom Save The Dates. I was told they only took appts (the website says walk ins welcome) and they were fully booked today. So I asked for the next available appt, and after being told they are fully booked tomorrow too, she found an open appt. As I'm at the counter, another couple walks in and are instantly greeted. They did not have an appointment. The other lady proceeds to help them. Wait...I thought you were completely booked today? I don't want to say this was a race issue, but I found this to be completely discriminatory. I will return for my appointment, but I hate patronizing businesses like this! #badcustomerservice read more

This is the first, and probably the last review I will ever write; however, I felt it was necessary because my wedding invitations, which I received this week, exceeded my extremely high expectations. I met with Linda, who worked with us, and made suggestions based on what I described I had in mind. At the end of the day she could not have been more spot on. They are the most beautiful invitations I have ever seen, and I cannot thank Linda and Bella Figura enough for the amazing job that they did. read more

I ordered wedding invitations from Bella Figura, and was extremely happy with how they turned out. I searched high and low for unique invites that also looked classy and timeless. The invites are so personal, with the option to customize everything from fonts, paper color and weight, envelope liners, shape and size of your invite, layout...you can do it all! I'm an event and wedding planner who works with many vendors and this was, by far, one of the best experiences I've had working with a stationer. The ladies there are thorough, welcoming and specific. I worked with Su-Queen who filled me on all Bella Figura has to offer. She was extremely knowledgable on every aspect of the design process. I especially love that they offer custom designs. Everything is laid out so the process does not feel overwhelming or confusing. Absolutely the best - I can't say enough how terrific it was to work with these folks. We had been looking for invitations for awhile. We knew what we were looking for, but couldn't find that design anywhere. Then we can across Bella Figura and voila, their design of the month was, with a few modifications, exactly what were were looking for! With the 10% off for the design of the month + the 10% off for 6+ pieces, they were (significantly) less than other letterpresses we were looking at. Plus, the quality of the paper was unbeatable. Most of all, the service was outstanding!! If only the rest of wedding planning could go so smoothly. We had numerous edits and changes to our order, and every time, they were happy to help. Plus, they know the etiquette, so you don't have to worry about your Great-Aunt Hilda getting upset that you mistakenly used "favor" rather than "honor." I can't wait to get my invitation framed. It is so beautiful! Thanks Bella Figura! read more

My fiancé and I had a great experience at Bella Figura. I had heard about them through wedding websites like Style Me Pretty and Carats and Cake but assumed they would be stuffy and out of my price range. I was so surprised when I walked in to find that they were incredibly down to earth, easy to work with, and not pushy at all. I wasn't sure how much invitations should cost so I went to a local stationary store where my parents live in New Jersey to do a price comparison. Bella Figura's pricing for letterpress was much more reasonable and they had way more options in the way of font, paper and envelope lining. It was a no-brainer to go back and order our invitations through Bella Figura. We worked with Su-Queen who was amazing about listening to our vision and helping us execute it (and patient about our many questions and last minute changes). She was also really knowledgeable about invitation etiquette so we knew how best to address the envelopes and how to make our invitations match the formality of the wedding. I received my invitations last week and I couldn't be happier! We have already received tons of compliments on them, notably their high quality and unique design. Wow!! How can I express how wonderful the process has been choosing my wedding invitations and how beautiful they turned out! From day one, I have enjoyed working with the team at Bella Figura. Once we moved on to printing and logistics, Sean and Racheal in the main office were prompt with answering each and every detailed question we had, and delivered revised proofs quickly. Once the invites arrived and upon opening the box, I was delighted to find them bundled and individually gift wrapped in beautiful boxes. Once unwrapped, the invitations were magnificent!!!! The staff and products at Bella Figura exceeded my highest expectations. I ordered invitations and thank you notes for our recent wedding and they were incredible. Being a paper-obsessed person, this part of the wedding planning was my favorite, and I agonized over every detail of the invitations. I love everything about the design they created for me - the feel and size of the paper, the colors, the fonts, the overall look, the intimacy and personalization - and especially the beautifully wrapped packages they arrived in.
