The restaurant is in the historic centre of Sassari and also offers some outside seating. This is fresh seafood at it's finest. We had the mixed seafood starter which was divine - came with mussels, the local version of monkfish, smoked swordfish, marinated anchovies, tender octopus and a little tower of fried shrimp and zucchini. We then shared a plate of spaghetti with fresh sardines and capers - lovely dish. We then had some mullets in tomato sauce and roasted eel - the latter a bit of work for little meat, but very tasty. The presentation is not for the faint of heart - see the photo for reference. For dessert we had a vanilla creme topped with some pastry flakes, nice but not exciting. The fish was always fresh and tasty, and overall was the food prepared flawlessly with good quality products. The service was also very friendly and the wine list looked rather appealing (unfortunately I had to drive). Would definitely go back there.

You'll see a charcuterie board on steroids when you enter the premises which is a part of the meal and includes an unlimited buffet of cured pork, various cheeses, and wine before your main meal. Food: 3 different pasta dishes to follow once you're done stuffing yourself w the charcuterie buffet, and of course the porcedu (piglet) to finish. The pasta dishes were so so, considering they were very basic. Dessert was a piece of fruit and a local dessert called seiadas. Tips: 1. Get there right when they open at 7:30. Lots of dedicated parking but it did get full if you had a later reservation time. Also, if you're there at 7:30 the buffet area will be crowded and you will have to wait in line. 2. Come very hungry, I was freaking stuffed and had to limit the pasta intake to eat the porcedu at the end. 3. Don't wear tight dresses or pants 4. If you book in advance you can get the terrace area.

Call and make reservations! At least for dinner. I had reservations for 2000 and saw them turn away…read moreeveryone until around 2200. I won't lie, I wasn't too impressed with this place. Part of it was the service. I felt like they didn't give me the best service, especially watching them interact with other customers. I was the only American there and maybe that was why? Especially when the head chef came out to share a goat cheese (which was quite good). He didn't seem to want to interact with me, like he had no patience for me. I ordered the squid lasagna, the grilled fish and a local starter-but I apologize I don't remember the name and forgot to take a pic. In the English menu, it's listed as its Sardinian name-there's no translation for it. This and the lasagna were ok at best. I wouldn't order either one of them again. The lasagna really interested me as I've never had a squid lasagna and was really intrigued but the flavors of the squid and their lasagna clashed a bit. It was almost not good, like a bitter distaste. The grilled fish was the best and pretty solid but not amazing (like a 3.5). I finished with their version of creme brule which wasn't bad. The table bread they serve though, is really tasty. So dinner wasn't all too successful. I've got to try the lunch menu next time.

Located just steps from the sea with waterfront breezes this place exudes charm and understated elegance. While the menu seems familiar with other spots the little flourishes elevate the experience. We started with a divine connolo-like a canolli but a savory crust filled with a light and creamy goat cheese served with amazingly flavorful tiny tomatoes-simple but divine. Their curlighones, another classic, were served grilled with a minty pesto but the absolute pinnacle was the fish. We were two couples and we each got the sea bass (for 2) one Mediterranean style (oven roasted with oil, herbs, tomatoes and potatoes) and the other baked in a salt crust. Each was beautifully served table side with the fish deboned and plated. Melt in your mouth good! The ample wine list features dozens of local options all at great prices. A must go.
