My 2025 Tesla Model Y DUAL MOTOR AWD -- clearly labeled -- was towed without my request due to a…read morecondo parking dispute (which I'm handling separately). What followed was blatant negligence and mockery, fully captured by Tesla Sentry Mode, and I'm also in the process of obtaining 7-Eleven's surveillance footage for additional documentation. Here's what happened: * The driver TREVOR arrived shirtless and got dressed in front of my car -- completely unprofessional from the outset. * He then took a photo of the back of my car, clearly showing the "DUAL MOTOR" AWD badge, and proceeded to tow it improperly -- lifting only the rear wheels and dragging the front wheels, in direct violation of Tesla's towing procedures. * I was alerted by the Tesla app when the alarm went off. After checking my Sentry Mode footage, I tracked my vehicle to a 7-Eleven, where the driver was fueling his truck. * Only after I confronted him did he begin attaching front dollies -- too late to prevent possible damage. * He then became aggressive and yelled at me, and worst of all, before he towed my car he walked to each of my car's cameras and sarcastically waved goodbye, fully aware he was being recorded -- clearly mocking the situation. Tesla's own owner's manual clearly states that AWD vehicles must be towed with all four wheels off the ground, or serious damage can occur to the motors and powertrain. This is basic, well-known information for any qualified towing professional. The "DUAL MOTOR" badge was visible -- there is no excuse for this kind of handling. When I called the company, the dispatcher JUDY (which now I know is one of the OWNERS) dismissed my concerns, saying "he's been towing for 30 years," as if that justifies violating safety protocols and mocking a customer on camera. They still charged me to release the vehicle, which now I am having professionally inspected by Tesla. I have video evidence of the entire incident, which will be posted on YouTube publicly. I'm also obtaining the 7-Eleven security footage and documenting everything. I will be filing formal complaints with the BBB (done!), the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Attorney General's office, specifically the Consumer Protection Division, and I am preserving my right to pursue legal action and small claims court for negligence. If Tesla determines that any drivetrain or motor damage resulted from this improper tow, I will also pursue full recovery of damages, including diagnostics, repair costs, and legal fees. In 2025, there's no excuse for a towing company to be this uninformed about EVs. Do not trust this company with your property. They are reckless, unprofessional, and dismissive of both safety and accountability.

He tried to start the battery and then told me the bad news: the car's starter had crapped out. I needed a new starter. Who knew? I thought cars just started when you turn the key. Au contraire, they need a part called a "starter." I was in a rush to get to work [not really, but I needed to get there quickly. This ordeal put me off schedule]. So, being new to the area, I asked the operator if he knew a shop that could take me immediately. We could drop the car off there and I could call Lyft. He said "yup" and he gave me a name and number. I called, they said "yes," and I rode in the big truck all the way to the repair shop. It was a tiny shop, but that's probably the reason it could take me immediately. I tossed the keys to the owner/mechanic, Told him I'd be back at 4 PM, phoned Lyft, and walked away. I waited outside for five or 10 minutes after which, Lyft appeared and picked me up. I returned several hours later and found the mechanic under another car. The shop was busier than I thought. It was the tow truck driver who called in a favor that got me service on the spot. This company went above and beyond. That's The kind of service I like, and you will like.
