Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were great about keeping us updated on pool hours and closures during the weather changes. Our one-bedroom suite was two stories, with the bedroom and one bathroom downstairs, and the kitchen and living room upstairs. The pull-out couch was surprisingly comfortable, and having a full bathroom on each floor was a nice touch. The kitchen was small but well equipped, complete with a refrigerator, cooktop, dishwasher, and coffee maker that we used every morning. It's a great place for an extended family stay as it was quiet, comfortable, and well maintained. We had everything we needed and plenty of towels. Misleading and deceptive sales tactics - be very careful I arrived at this hotel intending to book a room myself for around $75. At check-in, the manager told me I did not need to book online and offered a "special deal": pay $10 for the room if I attended a presentation the next day. I was never clearly informed that married guests must attend the presentation together with their spouse. English is not my native language, and the meaning and consequences of this were not explained to me. The presentation was scheduled for 10:45 AM. I rearranged my entire morning with my three-year-old child, but when I arrived, I was denied entry because my husband was not present. As a result, I was forced to pay $135 for the room. In addition, a $200 deposit was charged to my card and has not been refunded. The hotel has also informed me that they are attempting to charge an additional $125. When I returned to the hotel to resolve this, staff told me they could not help and took no responsibility. This experience wasted our day in Sedona and completely ruined our trip. This feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch scheme. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I will never return here. Be extremely careful if anyone offers you a "special deal" in exchange for attending a presentation. read more

I didn't take any photos unfortunately. Overall, the stay was OK. We stayed here 2 years ago and for some reason my experience was much more positive the first time as opposed to our recent stay. Not that it was bad, but the room was very dated. It has a smell that smelled like cigarettes despite there being a sign that said it was a no smoking room. It immediately hit us when we walked in. We had a large room that was considered a townhouse. No balcony. The kitchen was equipped which we appreciated with a full size fridge and stove top. Small but perfect for our stay. The bedroom was downstairs and the suite has 2 full baths. However, my husband shared that one of the towels he had used looked to have mold which was disturbing. He believed due to lack of ventilation in the bathroom. We didn't use the laundry room, gym or pools so can't speak to that. The location is nice which is why I picked it again but we'll try somewhere else for our next visit. read more

This is the type of place Bell Rock Inn is. We had a trip booked through Expedia and did get the non refundable rate. But unfortunately my wife had to deliver our baby prematurely a few days before our trip so we could not go. We tried to contact them directly to see if we could at least get a credit not necessarily a refund for a future rebooking and they never replied to us despite them responding to us one time when we initially reached out. Expedia tried to reach out to them and they ignored them as well. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau just so this goes on record. I would not recommend this property based on their dishonorable behavior. read more

What a terrific vacation stay at the Bell Rock Inn. LuzMaria greeted me at the reception area and was so nice, professional and informative. Dany was also amazing during our stay and has an amazing personality. The rooms are spacIous and appointed well and could use some updating like internet TV, USB charging ports, led lighting as well as minor repairs. The maintenance crews do a terrific job on the grounds and overall upkeep yet I am sure since HGV acquired the property that a modernization project is being scheduled in the future. The complimentary laundry facilities are excellent with newer equipment and the pools and spas are very nice. The maintenance staff were very friendly and professional as well. I certainly like this side of Sedona as it is much quieter and close to so many hiking trails with less traffic than the hwy 89 side. The resort is monitored by cameras and very safe and accessible. Bell Rock Inn has always been a solid place to stay in the Sedona area. I always check their rates when I plan a trip. I decided to stay there January 6th, a Saturday. We had a wedding to attend that day and the check in time and ceremony were almost the same exact time! I prepped my girl that we might have to change in the vehicle before attending the wedding. We drove over to Bell Rock Inn and our room was ready for us to pop into. We took the chance by stopping by, and they were able to accommodate us. Located in Village Creek in the quiet edge before you take the highway connector to Sedona Main Street. Priced lower than other resorts because it is an older resort. We bought a 1 bedroom suite. It was tucked in the second floor and it had a nice view of the mountains. Village Creek offers some nice food options, 15 to 20 minutes from the main part of Sedona. I had a great night's rest on the firm king bed with luscious sheets. I enjoyed a nice bath in the extra wide tub. Double sinks with a vanity in between. Walk in closet with 2 hanging areas is awesome. The living area has a full size memory foam couch. They have a bathroom with a standard tub and shower. The kitchen is furnished with a mini dishwasher and mini range and oven and a full size refrigerator The pools and hot tub were closed last night due to storms. There is a gym I have to check out Check in went smoothly. They collect a $14.50 per night resort fee. Check in at 4 pm and check out is at 10 am. They have time share opportunities with the Diamond Resorts. read more

I usually never write reviews, especially negative ones but this is the only exception. Coming into this even with motel/inn quality standards, was still disappointing. Coming from being outside traveling all day to a shower that doesn't work when trying to introduce someone to the area wasn't up to our expectations. The room had an odd smell and stains were on the furniture. The front desk staff call desk was rude to my girlfriend and unhelpful. Bell Rock Inn actually exceeded my expectations. I was honestly expecting a super run down, bed bug ridden hotel, but the room was very clean. It wasn't super fancy, but they took COVID measures, such as the plastic wrapped remote for the TV. The kitchen was also spotless and the fire place was a nice touch. They had free on-site laundry and a pool, but I didn't have time to check those out. The hotel was also a convenient drive to all the major hikes in the area. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. At best, it's an old hotel that needs updating. My husband and I went to check in (to our paid room) and we were harassed by the "concierge" who was trying to sell us a timeshare. She was rather rude when we politely told her we weren't interested. We practically had to walk away mid sentence. We also were harassed the entire time about a timeshare with them calling our room. We honestly couldn't believe it, as we didn't get some sort of a discount rate, it was very expensive and the resort fee isn't included in the price. Not really sure why there was a resort fee either, as they only had a pool just like EVERY OTHER HOTEL. Our room was rather dirty too, as the sink looked like someone spit toothpaste on the faucet, but after our experience with the concierge we just sucked it up. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. It's dingy, old, and expensive. read more

I stayed for a night on a road trip. Rooms: large, spacious, kitchenette with dishes, pans, cutlery, toaster, coffeemaker, and even a juicer! The furniture and decor is a bit old and run down and entry to the rooms is through separate buildings other than the lobby. Service: We didn't require much, but the person who greeted us was friendly. He told us EV charging is free. It was, but there were idle fees that totaled to $16. We weren't told but there was a sign by the charger that said so but we checked in at night and there was minimal light in the parking lot. They charged $200 for deposit and returned it after 48h. Safety: We didn't have any issues. Only complaint is that the parking lot had very minimal lighting which made hesitant to go out for anything alone. Also as a result of it, we didn't see the sign on idle fees with charge point. Distance: about 5-10 minutes from most things to do around the area with regards to sight seeing and about 10-15 minutes from town and restaurants. read more

The property is nice & in oak creek about 30 mins to Sedona . What we didn't like : the place is dated re interior. No smart tv . The bed wasn't great . The worst thing was the lack of wifi signal .the only place we got a strong signal was in the lobby . I ended using a ton of data . I did try to address this with the day staff . Dora offered to change our room to another building. The room offered was facing a parking lot where we would hear the road noise . So a step down to our pool inner courtyard view. I declined. The rude clerk at the front desk named dany kept interrupting my conversation with Dora . Trying to justify the poor wifi . Mon to Fri there is construction noise at the back of the property. Oh ! the pushing of there timeshare! Shut that down Wasn't fun lugging our luggage up two flights of stairs no elevator. read more

My expectations were higher considering the good reviews. The building I stayed in was in need of major updating. The hallway was dingy looking. I booked a 1 bedroom (king bed) and they put me in a two bedroom suite. While most people might be happy with the upgrade, I was traveling solo, so I did not need three bathrooms. The decor in the suite was old and outdated. The room was not comfortable. The lock on the door was loose and not clicking locked and the front desk never sent anyone to check/fix it. I had to text for the wifi password. The view out the windows looking into the back yard of someone's home where they had old appliances outside. Maybe other rooms had better views, but this suite was very disappointing. The suite appeared clean, but the furniture just felt dirty because it was so old. I usally enjoy an evening in a hotel, but not here. I should have known when I walked into the unappealing, dingy lobby. Very disappointing for a HGV property. read more

This was a decent place to stay near Sedona for the money. I think the term "resort" was used a little loosely here. The resort fee was unexpected for amenities that you would normally get at a chan hotel included in the price (use of the pool, fitness center, etc). Our room was very spacious and clean, although our bathroom sink wasn't draining properly and the sliding door to our little patio area was broken. The check in process was quick and easy. We didn't use the concierge but it was a nice thing to know was available. We had plenty of bath towels and several pool towels, which was super convenient. The pool was centrally located, clean, and uncrowded. We didn't take advantage of much in the full kitchen aside from the refrigerator and coffee pot, but were pleased with both of those things. Due to Covid, I would have liked to have had disposable silverware and cups instead of relying on others to wash them. We ran into housekeeping staff throughout the property and they were very friendly and kind. We didn't need anything from them, but I got the vibe that if we did, it wouldn't have been an issue. read more

Good stay. Got there last night 6pm. Solo front desk staff was very kind. She was busy handling phone calls and helping us and two others to check in but with patience everything was all good. Our teens had good time in spa and gym as we others (8) went to dinner and drinks. Grounds looked very clean. They had doggy stations meaning plastic bags on posts with trashcans below on grassy areas. I read other 3 year old posts. The inn must have taken care if the issues. Thumbs up. I am updating this the "morning after" before we get on the road.Overall I think its a style/communication issue. They do have a relatively nice site and the landscaping is nice. When we finally got into the pool it was nice before sunset to see the little bats flying over. I also need to add that management need to speak to the "pool nazi" who is in control of locking and unlocking the pool. From the comments he made like "people come from all over the world and they only come for our pool, right" he is obviously very irritated at both his job and tourists. I would suggest someone else be responsible for this. I do know that the other pool which is probably the main pool was open when we came back from dinner and obviously had been open a while as there were a ton of kids in it. You can tell he PURPOSELY took his time opening the other pool (note also he opened the BACK gates first while families literally STOOD at the main gate and waited while he opened the OTHER gates I am sure no one ever uses, of which there are 4) So ABOVE comments are morning after (note pool is closed again this AM with clear skies) and below are before. I will also post to "that other site" more about room specifics Avoid lots of timeshare properties in area. Checked in asked for a 1bdrm as from reviews appears they do a lot and only here one night AND picked to see if would be someplace to come back to. After a 6 hour drive and my husband who has had both knees replaced really wanted to soak in the spa. They closed the pool about 10 seconds before we were going in because "lighting is 10 miles away" if this is a problem have an indoor pool or say swim at you own risk. Or don't swim with large metal poles in your hands (hate when that happens). Also although I did ask for a first floor by the pool now we can't go in the pool which obviously as they were deciding as we were checking in they could have told us, also we got a handicapped room which wasn't disclosed. In all my years of travel I have NEVER had this spring on me. They always ask if it's okay. I am sure it's because we booked on a 3rd party website. However we are RCI members and have 2 timeshare weeks. I know Wyndham has a nice property here and from google I see at least 8 other timeshares in Sedona ( funny this which is a diamond international property is not listed as one of those) Last time through here stayed at. But it's not a bad spot to stay at all, is reasonably priced, and is clean with comfortable beds. How have I not reviewed this property? I stayed here for four days, three nights and loved it. The pools were clean and never crowded. The parking is easy and free. You will need a car if you are staying here, or you will need to use Uber/Lyft since there isn't much in the immediate area and you aren't downtown. The rooms aren't the most updated, but they do have a full kitchen, including pots, pans, utensils, etc. that allows you to fully cook meals, which means a cost savings. This place gets four stars due to the location, convenience, and simple hotel lifestyle. I do have to stress this is not a fancy, upscale inn/hotel, and that was just fine with me. I was traveling with my child and it was so nice having an actual bedroom and so. much. space.Zero drama at check in, no timeshare nonsense, incredibly friendly employees and a really nice place to call home for a few days. Expect the $17 daily resort fee, but I was blown away with the value and our experience. Room 413 has noisy road noise in living area, but bedroom faces the pool and was super quiet. We spent 7 nights at the Bell Rock Inn, and would give this hotel a 4-star rating. It is just a few miles south of the downtown Sedona area, so you're away from major traffic snarls, especially if you're visiting during peak tourist season. (We were there in the 1st week of February.) The hotel is very clean, I would say the couch and chair in our living area of the suite was maybe a bit dated, but hey ... it was ok. There is no breakfast on site, but there are MANY restaurants within walking distance. We made a trip to the grocery store the first day, stocked up on necessities, stored them in the fridge and cupboards, and ate breakfast in the room. We ate a nice meal out (usualy in town - or wherever our destination took us, then caught a snack back in the room in the evening. Here's the BEST part ... the hotel was very, very quiet. You'll like staying here and saving a few dollars from staying in more pricey hotels in the area and in town. read more
