I hired this company to texture ceilings and repair drywall in a bedroom in Sept 2020…read more The owner gave the job to a subcontractor, "AR Drywall " out of Rockford, IL. The sub turned the job over to two of his workers. I was not told that he was subbing out this job from the start. They prepped the area well and the texturing was done satisfactory. However, the repair of the drywall in the bedroom was totally unacceptable. There was also damage to furniture, crown molding knocked off a cabinet, floors left totally unprotected in the bedroom area, and drywall mud splattered on range and refrigerator. When Stateline owner came out to collect his fee and I showed him damages, he was unconcerned. He acted like it was all an easy fix For SOMEONE ELSE! I have contacted the sub and although he told me " don't worry, I'll be out this week" he has never shown up or called. I DO NOT recommend either of these companies. I have lots of photo documentation.

This guy John came out and gave us a bid on the work. We had a sunroom added on and needed plaster…read moreboard hung and plastered. Bid was middle of the road pricing not too bad. Little did we know the harassments that went along with the bid and accepting him to do the work. He subbed the work out to a Mexican couple that hung the boards, little to no English spoken. They stood on the boards ( which did make a difference). The boards were not shimmed out as he told us they would be. He said plasterer would be able to fix it. Plaster men showed up. Said no they could not fix the gap left, but they did the best they could. There was a large scratch under one of the windows in the fresh plaster, very noticeable. When John came out to address our concerns and collect payment, he came in with an attitude. Very rude, using foul language, F this F that. Now we have a child in the Army, used to this language, but not from someone that is expecting us to pay him money for poor quality work. He even threatened to put a lien on our home for not paying him. Never said we would not pay, just want it fixed. Now that it has been somewhat fixed, he is hounding us daily for payment. Told him we will put the check in the mail as we do not ever wish to see him again! Please do not ever hire this man to do work on your home!!!

I hired him to replace my deck boards. I got the material and he was to start. start delayed…read more then delayed. then delayed. After two weeks, there was minimal progress. I got a TEXT message stating he could not continue and quit!!! I hired someone to continue and finish. He found many issues that needed to be done over, before he could complete my job. Ultimately, my deck is done, but two and a half months later. It is done right now, since he had to repair the improper work done. I would not recommend.
