My husband and I enjoyed our 4 day stay at Dundee. The grounds and rooms are lovely and kept…read moreimmaculately clean. The a/c did not work in our room. A front desk staff member immediately came to the room. After trying to get it working, she not only promptly moved us to an upgraded room, she checked several to be sure we got the one with the best possible a/c and even offered to help us move our bags. We did not lose even a half hour of our vacation time! In general this is a wonderful place! It's well maintained and very clean. Every staff person we encountered was warm, friendly, and helpful. I appreciated that a 24 hour guest laundry is available up near the cabins. Our room came with nice toiletries, a decent blow dryer, and the shower had great water pressure.

You may or may not know, that I love to golf. I'm not that good though, but I am improving…read more This was the course my love of golf began. I played here the morning of my wedding with my groomsmen, it was cold, really cold. In fact it was snowing on one of the holes at the top of the mountain. Yes a mountain. At least it feels that way when playing. the holes are up hill or down hill, not a whole lot of level playing. But Fun! But that was one of my most enjoyable games. This is the only course i have ever played where i will always get a cart. I just don't feel like walking up a mountain. The resort itself is awesome, the rooms are great, the views of Bras Dor Lakes are great, the food is oh-so-good. I can't wait to play this course, on a nicer summer day. (Not in October) The green fees are on the high range. Approx $65. But man I'll pay that to golf here. Check out http://www.capebretonresorts.com/ for package deals! Worth a look! Keep Swinging!

Taste: Upon arriving at the first tee, there is a jar full of cookies. I took one along for my journey and indulged on the wait to tee off on number 10 as I stared into the sea. It was truthfully one of the best chocolate chip cookies I ever had. Smell: I could fill my lungs with that crisp, salty, ocean air alongside the crescendo of holes 16, 17, & 18 all day long. Sight: Where do I begin with this one? Cabot Cliffs appeals to this sense as you meander through the forest, dunes, and ocean your entire journey. Never once do you find a filler hole to bridge your journey to another scenic spot on the course. All 18 holes fill your eyes with a landscape of pure beauty. Sound: Only one other time have I seen the metal cups that Cabot utilizes on all their greens. It is it the equivalent of burying a soup can and the ensuing ringing your ball makes when it finds the bottom of the cup is a reward for making a pure stroke. It is comical and further verifies you have completed the task at hand when you hear that ball clamor at the bottom. Touch: The tight, firm fescue grass that lines this entire course makes for a great links turf. As you replace each divot, you realize just how the origins of this game required a grasp of the concept of a ground attack. The ground is so firm the ball will run for miles. It feels as if you're walking on concrete. You're bounding drives will boost your ego as if you need any of that taking in what I guarantee will be one of the most spectacular rounds of golf you'll ever play. The Nova Scotia tourism bureau can send their royalty checks to me. Plan your visit to Cabot Links now before the word on the street gets any further.
