I had an absolutely awful experience here and I'm afraid to say I'm not the only one! Their dresses are hugely over priced and the staff are monstorous. I'm a average size 14 and proud but they made me feel as if I were overweight and obese. They were rude and cold, making me wait around for 20mins before acknowledging me even though I had an appointment only then to continuely comment and look put out that they had to go up stairs for 'the larger dresses', a comment they loudly' wispered in ear shot of another bride who was about a size 8 and also trying dresses on as if it were something to be ashamed of and embarssed about!! The dress I did like I was made to feel as if it were way out of my price range, making me feel not only fat but not deserving either. I would implore brides not to give them the time of the day. The staff dont seem happy in their work so therefore dont give you the experience you deserve. I took my 11yr old neice with me and she was in awe, saying to the asisstant that she would like to work there when she was older, to which the asisstant replied, 'trust me you really wouldnt'. A horrible cold, snobby, unfeeling shop with staff to match. Please dont have your wedding dress experience which should be such a happy time ruined by going to this terrible place. I purchased my dress from Bellamore, but if I would have know how poor service it will be I would definitely look somewhere else. I expected that you as a bride will be looked after, they all will be nice to you... but they all look like they just cant be bothered, if I ask question which dont suit them it is more like - dont worry, we will sort it out later, all right darling? My dress cost almost 2.000, they charge you for one alteration 240. On my 2nd fitting I wanted to chose some veil and tiara, just to have it out of way, it was exactly 2 months before my wedding. They told me not to bother that on 2nd fitting there is no time for it, you have got only certain amount of time but that I will be more than welcome to do it on my last fitting. When I came there yesterday, early to have time to chose veil that would suit my dress, the told me I will be charged 15 pounds extra because it is my last fitting and because it is not long to my wedding (6 weeks now) they have to order special delivery. After me arguing what they told me last time and why I should pay again something extra, she told me I must be mistaken, because everyone there know choosing accesories are with your 2nd fitting and noone there would advise me this. I couldnt belive, left upset because when I will pick up my dress in 5 weeks time, have to pay another 40 to put it in some box or bag. So in the end my dress came to 2500 and the service there is so bad! So ladies, if you can get your favourite dress somewhere else, just do it! This is the only experience that spoilt my wedding preparations :( read more
