He corrected the cut beautifully, brought my hair back to life, and blended my color so perfectly that I felt like myself again. This appointment was my birthday gift to me, and I walked out feeling like a movie star--specifically Monica Bellucci. The blowout, the color, the cut... flawless. I left feeling polished, elegant, and so cared for. It was also a powerful reminder that my hair deserves regular love, and I'll absolutely be returning to Hector. One more detail: if you're health-conscious or germ-cautious, the salon has a lovely outdoor patio setup with full airflow. Hector's chair is right by the door, and even inside I felt completely comfortable. Truly a 10/10 experience.

Both times the haircut I ended up getting due to the switch kinda sucked, and the first time was right before my own wedding. Today, after they switched me with no notification, the dude at the front desk tried to argue with me saying they switched my selected barber because one of their regulars was coming in, as though that is an obvious and fair thing to do, lolwut. He acted as though that happens automatically - Of course when they checked someone had manually booted me, with no heads up. When they notice they f'd up they offered me $5 off an $80 haircut, which is comical. Buddy, regulars pay the $80-$100 for a cut here for a pleasant and consistent experience. I won't be back and can't recommend this spot anymore. A shame, cause it used to be awesome.

Yesterday, I had the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon/barbershop, and I have never…read moreexperienced anything like this before. This was my first time at this place, and unfortunately, the customer service was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, I clearly explained to the elderly woman cutting my hair that I wanted ONLY the tips trimmed and LONG LAYERS added only. I even showed her how much I wanted taken off. I specifically wanted to keep the same overall long length and only have the ends trimmed with long layers added. Despite this, she proceeded to cut significantly more hair than I asked her to. When she started styling my hair with a blowout brush, I was confused because I had never asked for a blowout or additional styling. She simply started doing it without asking me if I wanted it when I had told her specifically what I came for, just a haircut! When it was time to pay. I questioned the price because I had not requested the additional styling. She explained that the price was because she used the blowout brush, cut a lot of hair, and because I had a lot of hair. I found this extremely unreasonable and I told her it's just crazy to me how now according to her haircuts are based on how much hair they cut off and how much hair a person has that is SO ridiculous! especially because the additional styling was something I never asked for, and the amount of hair cut was more than what I specifically requested. I called her out on the fact that she has to ask customers first if they're okay with the additional styling she can't just do whatever she wants and then charge them for it which only caused her to start yelling like crazy. What made the experience even worse was the way she handled my concerns. Rather than listening to me or acknowledging that she had cut more than I requested, she became defensive, talked over me, and started yelling at me. She called me a liar and accused me of saying things that I never said. When I started calling her out on her not listening to the customers request she then proceeded to say that she never told me that it was going to be more for the additional styling and that she was claiming " she wasn't charging me for that, when on the board it said with styling it was $40 ) and that's how much she was charging me for at the beginning!! She was the only liar and looking back at this I should've recorded her so she wouldn't have tried to say that she never told me that at the beginning when those were her clear words on why she was charging me that amount. At one point, she claimed I had told her the haircut was supposed to cost $25, which was never what I was saying. Before her yelling, it also first started with her becoming upset about the tip I left and questioned me about why I tipped that amount while laughing about it which is so unprofessional. A tip is optional and should reflect the customer's experience and satisfaction with the service. I did not feel that the service I received warranted a good tip, especially considering that my instructions were not followed and she starting doing additional styling that I didn't ask for that caused my hair to feel stiff. Another issue was that she answered her personal phone during my haircut, which made the experience feel even more unprofessional. The final haircut was NOT what I asked for. I wanted to maintain my long length hair, have only the tips trimmed, and have long layers. Instead, much more hair was cut off , my hair was up to my shoulders , and the result does not look like long layers at all. It just looks like she gave me a basic haircut with the length up to my shoulders, that's it. The amount she removed was more significant which we had agreed to at the beginning. This has been the worst someone has done this haircut on me out of all the places I've been to. The most frustrating part is that this situation could have been handled completely differently If she had simply listened to my concerns, apologized for cutting more than I requested, and taken responsibility for her actions, I would have had a completely different impression of the experience. Instead, I was met with arguing, yelling, and denial and even accused me being the liar when those were her clear words on why she was charging me that amount , she just didn't want to take responsibility at all. I have gotten this type of haircut many times before and have never had an horrible experience like this. I strongly recommend being very clear about what you want and confirming the price and services before they begin. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I will not be returning. Very rude and they don't listen to customers needs.
