My child went here for one week and was hit multiple times, last day I picked him up before never returning the entire right side of his face was red from being slapped and no one even knew it happened also with no incident reports. When teachers were asked they didn't see it so it must not have happened they said as if my son was lying or like I couldn't see the red mark on his face? Also they demanded we pay $300 for not letting them know 2 weeks in advance as if it was possible? If you are like me and worry about your child's safety/well being in the first place DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! Don't listen to the old reviews they have had new owners since all the good reviews 2-3 years ago it is not the same and you should not enroll your kids here!

We moved to Pinellas County five years ago from Orlando and have struggled to find a school that meets our needs. Our daughter faces academic challenges, especially in math, and her ADHD adds to the struggle. We were excited to enroll her at Center Academy because of their understanding of learning disabilities and student support. We have been absolutely blown away. Our daughter is thriving for the first time in years! The teachers and staff take the time to meet her individual needs and support her through her challenges. She has learned incredible coping skills and feels the reward of finally doing well in school--and it has only been two months! We are so excited for the year ahead and our continuing education at Center Academy!

This school was our first choice, and we entered with high expectations, but we were ultimately…read morevery disappointed by our experience. The atmosphere is lovely and the learning environment is strong; however, the level of communication was extremely lacking. Our child is spirited and likely has ADHD, and the school was not equipped to accommodate or support her needs. During her second year, we were told the Montessori method might not be ideal, but we were assured the school would pay for someone to observe her and work with the teachers to create a plan to better support her. While this gave us hope, that observation never happened, and no plan was put in place. We were completely caught off guard when attempting to re-enroll and were informed that a final decision had already been made not to accept our child into Kindergarten. At no point was this communicated to us in advance. Our child attended the school from ages 3-5, an age when children are still learning self-regulation, yet we were told the Montessori model requires children to already possess this skill. By the time we were notified, enrollment at other schools had closed, leaving us with very limited options. In my opinion, this is not a good fit for spirited children or those with learning differences. The lack of follow-through and poor communication significantly impacted our family's educational path. If you suspect your child may have ADHD or needs additional support, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

After working in public schools for 12 years, my main objective is for my children to be in a healthy & happy environment. I could go on & on. Bottom line, MBTS is the healthiest school environment I have ever seen. Beach Fridays are a plus as well.

I was not greeted with respect as a mother of a child going to school there should be treated. I can't even imagine what goes down on those closed doors when I'm not around. I felt criticized about my race. And my son was getting hurt every day I will see bruises and scratches. He had scratched nails marks on his chest next to his neck, when I went to inform the teachers they will say something like.. he came to school like this or He scratched him self. So now this is unbelievable so I go to speck with the director Cathie and she says that she's not in-position to show me the cameras, also says that "in school kids get hurt and kids get sick" and I tell her that I'm will aware that these things happens but it's not ok for kids to come home will scratch's and bruises EVERYDAY !! Now let's talk about The employees who are taking care of our children while we're thinking their HAPPY and SAFE! Ms. Cathy and ms. D (the one year old class) they are very rude and have very bad energy. Twice already of picking my son from school they left him with a dirty diaper (pooped) That he also got a rash. They also feed my son water from the sink?! My son kept on throwing up allll day and night and they failed to inform me that we give him water from the sink, so I had to ask and they wouldn't tell me what water they was feeding him until I asked (are u guys giving my son water from the sink?) and she finally said yes and I told her all the money I'm paying u guys, you can't spend $3 dollars on baby water???! If you care about your child's mental health and faith do not send them there. It completely changed my views on Christianity and I questioned my faith for many years after attending. They only care about drug testing, what your wearing and what your doing outside of school. They also only care about money and how much the parents are contributing. I've posted a review before and it was deleted. Funny. Just very strong and putting the word out there so other children do not have to suffer mentally especially years and years after they even leave. It caused me mental health issues. This place has a lot of reviews similar saying the same things please look into it before you do this.

We've had two kids graduate OSLS and could not say enough great things about the school! Our…read moredaughter transferred from public school, where she wasn't challenged. At OSLS she found her challenge and she had the support from staff and schoolmates to excel. Anytime either of our children faced a struggle, we were encouraged to work with their teachers to help them overcome. Working as a team to aid our kids with their education produced better grades and strengthened our bound as a family. While the quality of education was certainly our first priority, a very special aspect of OSLS is the community the students (and even the parents) form. There is only one class per grade which allows the classmates to form relationships that are meaningful and long lasting. The camaraderie built within the classes reduces bulling and encourages acceptance and kindness. Everything we gained at OSLS was more than we could have ever imagined. We enrolled because a friend recommended it and it was close to the house. We stayed because we found a family.
