The salesman (Gary) was very nice and professional and told me about various options and sales. I ended up buying a gently used sitting chair in good condition that they professionally clean that was 50% off. So it was much less expensive than other chairs I had been looking at and better quality. Gary and another associate wrapped it in plastic and loaded it into the back of my SUV. They have a 14 day return policy if you decide you don't like an item.

Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the gentleman that helped us back then, but he was amazing and made sure we got the best deal for our money adding in two mattress protectors and free delivery. Last year around this time we got rid of our old living room set and I knew this is where I wanted to select the new one. Although, I do have to agree to an extent about the timeliness of the delivery is extensive...I almost hate to say it's worth the wait since these are pieces built to last. I have also snagged a glass bookshelf and a full body mirror to bring the new set together. To the female manager who called the other branches in Topeka and Lee Summit to get a product I saw online that the Olathe location didn't have in stock THANK YOU! I really appreciate your efforts to make it right even after I picked it up and my expectations were not met. I have consigned dozens of items (and probably bought as many pieces) and always appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. I have introduced several friends to the store who have consigned furniture. Recently, we have noticed that a young woman who accepts items falls short in the customer service area. She has an air of self importance, and as my friend said recently, acts as if she is too busy saving the world to stop and help us mere mortals. Like any business, Couches to Curios would not exist without customers but this person doesn't seem to understand that. In addition, other areas have a designated clearance or scratch and dent section. For this location, the kids area was basically a few games on screen and some coloring sheets. Not exactly something to wear out your kids. This location had random discounted scratch and dent discounts through out. They did have a nice seating area where I saw two guys seated having a beer and another family with a kid. But in my 30-45 min there, no one was around serving to offer a beverage. It's interesting when you got tea bags for people to have a drink but no hot water. So what really gets this a one star is the lack of communication. I entered with my wife and two kids. This lady greeted us and I said we would drop the kids off at the kids space and shop around. She said someone would be by to open it. 10 min later. No one to open up. I approached another person and asked if someone was around to open the place or not. She tells me someone is finishing something and will be on by. Another 20 min layer no one. I walked to the cashier, and he said he would get on it but no one told him. So yeah for a busier work day of a Saturday, you got sales associates at the front talking to each other and others roaming around, but no real communication. If it wasn't for my wife wanting to really find something, I would have left a long time ago Props to the cashier guy who apologized and took the time to open the kids area for my kids. Another couple brought their kids by as well. Any good sales person knows that if you can distract the kids, you will get a better chance to have paying parents invest time in a purchase.
