But nothing that would deter a future stay here. Complimentary breakfast for our Sunday morning, Saturdays too every weekend, is from 6am-10am. Shorter on weekdays. A decent mix of most regular offerings just expect a line for the waffle making station the later you arrive. A very comfy one night stay. And other than the nearby freeway sounds, very quiet and almost seemingly deserted interior. We were on the 4th floor.

Also so great that I got the ground floor, no need to deal with elevators with all our luggage. Also got an upgrade to suite, thank you! After checking in to our room, we we were able to enjoy the hotel's complimentary breakfast and coffee, what perfect timing then back to our room showered and caught up on sleep! I like this Marriott location, very convenient to where we were planning to go, quiet neighborhood. There is a little shops with Starbucks, Fed Ex next door. Disneyland Resort is is just 15 minutes away, San Ana Zoo, The Outlets at Orange and Main Place Mall. Our rooms were so spacious, apartment style suites with fully equipped kithcens and separate living areas. We were in the one bedroom suite with king bed and sofabed, which was perfect for the 4 of us! There is a charge for parking, which there's plenty on property! The staff were super friendly, I didn't get the front desk staff at night, I needed front desk help before we checking out early the next day. All in all, totally recommend it here, loved our stay, if plans work out again, I will love to stay here for our future trips.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Orange Grove Inn…read more I booked my reservation approximately one month in advance for June 18-24 and received a confirmation email showing those exact dates. As I was traveling internationally from Canada, these dates were planned well in advance and were not flexible. Before traveling, I double-checked my reservation details to ensure everything was correct. When I arrived at the hotel on the evening of June 18, the front desk agent informed me that he could not locate my reservation. After I provided my confirmation email, he searched further and stated that the reservation in their system showed dates of June 17-23 and had been marked as a "no-show" because I did not arrive on June 17. The front desk agent contacted a colleague, who reportedly advised that someone had called the hotel on June 9 claiming to be me and requested that the reservation dates be changed. I never called the hotel to modify my reservation, nor did I authorize anyone else to do so. This raises serious concerns about the hotel's reservation verification procedures. If reservation changes can be made over the phone, there should be sufficient verification measures in place to confirm the identity of the caller before altering a guest's booking, such as asking for the phone number or email on file. To make matters worse, I was charged approximately $160 CAD as a no-show fee due to a situation that was entirely outside of my control. I was informed that the charge was non-refundable. While I understand and respect no-show and cancellation policies-I work in the hair salon industry that also enforces such policies-I do not believe it is reasonable to charge a customer when the issue appears to have resulted from an error in the reservation process and the hotel business rather than any action on the guest's part. The most frustrating aspect of this experience was arriving after an international flight only to discover that I effectively had no accommodation and was left scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. What should have been the start of a relaxing vacation became an extremely stressful and costly situation. I hope management reviews this incident carefully, investigates how my reservation was altered without my authorization, and reconsiders the no-show charge. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. UPDATE: the hotel called me and told me that they have issued the full refund which is great, but I hope they learned their lesson to be more diligent in terms of modifying/cancelling reservations and verification measures, because being stranded in a different country is not OK and it was a stupid mistake on their end that could've been easily avoided.

After graciously being allowed to check in early on a Friday afternoon, we barely had time to throw our suitcases in the room, and snacks in the mini fridge before we were off to The California Angeles of Los Angeles in Anaheim Baseball Stadium (or whatever it's called these days), a quick 10 minute drive away. Getting back to this haven was wonderful, easy and convenient. And our after game sandwiches were perfectly fresh from the aforementioned mini fridge. The next day we took a bit longer to look around this property. We noticed the night before, when we got in around 10pm, that there was a very well lit parking lot and plenty of parking spaces. We admired all the thoughtful landscape details of the new plantings. The pool area was being enjoyed by one family, but it was also quite lovely and newly refurbished, including a shady gazebo! The most surprising feature to me was the on-site laundry room. We stumbled upon it while looking for the ice machine. Using our room key to enter, we saw a small area furnished nicely with 2 NEW coin op washer and dryers. (Sorry, I forgot to look at the per load fee for each. The room itself was stuffy and warm, but there's a wall A/C unit to turn on and a desk and chair, should you chose to wait there for your laundry. Very thoughtful additions! The Queen room we booked for 2 nights was EXACTLY as it was shown on the Hotels.com website! Very clean and comfortable. Headboard had attached reading lights above and side tables with shelf, which I appreciate. The shower had full size bottles of Paya Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash, which Hubs enjoyed, and the shower itself was large, good pressure, HOT water and low profile, easy to get in/out of. Towels were full size - not bath sheet, exactly, but large, clean and soft. They also offered a single brew coffee in the room and, if I'm not mistaken, AM coffee in the lobby. Not a coffee drinker, so I forget. Rooms also have a microwave, ironing board, hairdryer, wi-fi, large flat screen TV, and loads of places to plug in, USB and standard US 120-V outlets. You may notice this hotel is one parallel road(El Camino Real) away from I-5, but we never noticed it. Yes, we were located on the 2nd floor of the interior of the Orange Grove Inn and had the A/C running all night, but there's also a new VERY LARGE sound wall blocking the freeway noise. Disneyland is a 15 minute, easy on/easy off, drive up I-5 from Orange Grove Inn, so I would recommend it for budget accommodations if that attraction is on your itinerary. SHOOT! You could even Uber/Lyft to the park and spend less time dealing with Disneyland parking lots, if you wanted. We found it an easy drive from this motel to the foothills and canyons of Irvine, when we went exploring out to the Silverado Cafe and Arden:Helena Modjeska House. I enjoyed it on a Sunday and had it all to myself most of the 2 hours I was there. Complimentary breakfast includes a nice selection beyond continental offerings. Eggs, potatoes, cereals, bacon or ham, baked goods, granolas, oatmeal, fruit, juices, bagels, breads, make your own waffles, muffins, coffee and more. A perfect stay I must say!

This is the one of the few times where my selected room was the actual room I received upon arrival. Each time we needed assistance, the attendants quickly tended to us without issue. We arrived at around 9pm. The attendants at the front desk gave such great customer service. Their welcome/check-in spiel was clear, informative, and did not come off as rushed. When they saw that I was staying with my dog, they immediately invited us to bring my dog to the front for her to select a complimentary toy and treat. A first out of all the Homewood Suites I've stayed at! The free breakfast selections were great - eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, bagels, etc. There is a game room with billiards, giant Jenga, Connect 4, and shuffleboard. The pool area has a ping pong table and giant chess. The 24/7 fitness room is spacious with working equipment. I would definitely stay here again for the customer service alone. Let's start from the beginning. We checked in on Friday night at 10:30. Jennifer checked us in. I asked her which room she had available, she said we were booked for room 112 on the ground level. She said there was another room on the second level but that I couldn't switch rooms because I booked a hotel room with a third-party. All good, we just wanted to get to bed. We checked into our room. Basic room, no-frills, but there was a mini refrigerator. It was empty, but it was great to put our dinner leftovers. Turns out we were in the ADA compliant room so the doorway were large, in the bathroom was extra large. The shower/bathtub had a shower bench. None of this bothered us. We just wish there was a vanity in the bathroom. There was no space to put anything in the bathroom. Nothing here is great but it's good enough. It's cheap. Got one king bed. Totally comfortable and slept very well. We were here just to sleep, from about late night to 7 AM on both days. And to shower. Plenty of hot water. The shower head needs to be replaced! Sprays water everywhere! The flooring planks are cracking and warped. Maybe there was a big water damage, and they couldn't replace it? The nightstand was dirty - it was not wiped down. So I wiped it up. The parking lot is fine. There's coffee in the morning in the registration room. Hot water too. My usual request stands, to be on the top floor, so you don't hear your upstairs neighbors walking around at night and early in the morning. Totally good to return.

Parking will set you back about $25 a day for self parking and while you will not have any issues finding parking, there were plenty of times were we ended up on the opposite end of where the hotel entrance was. More often that not, the parking spots are extremely tight- even for our HONDA CRV so we opted to go further back to ensure comfortability coming in and out. To simplify, come willing to do some walking. This hotel setup reminded me so much of our family stays in Hawaii. The landscape is beautifully spacious, clean, and there is no shortage of seating. There is even an indoor fountain. One of the main perks of staying on the property is Embassy Suites' complimentary breakfast. Here you will find typical breakfast items: cereals, eggs, bacon or sausage, but the what brings on the long lines would 100% be the omelet station where you can customize your eats how you see fit. This is one of the better complimentary breakfasts that I've been offered. The rooms in itself are okay. We ran into a few issues while we stayed here. One being our tissue box literally having only one sheet of tissue in it. It was very obvious that the box was empty and the staff didn't even bother to change it out or leave a backup box. Secondly, there was a quinceanera celebration going on during our stay. We unfortunately sat right above the site where it was being hosted. All evening we heard loud music, obnoxious party goers- this made it super hard for my toddler to actually fall asleep. Third, The elevators on one side was out of service, leaving everyone to flock over to the opposing side. This caused for so much traffic and delays- so much so, we decided to skip breakfast that morning. Staff, guests, and maintenance personnel all rushing to get where they needed to be was not the business. Easily a 4 star rating but I decided to deduct one due to the issues. I was looking to find a clean hotel close by (within 10 miles to the parks) with Hot breakfast and free parking. There were quite a few that were available. But I know from my past stays I have enjoyed Holiday Inn Express hotels so figured I would try to find one between the parks and Huntington Beach and this location was recommended. Drove from Sacramento and arrived around 1am and hotel staff greeted me and offered a luggage push cart. Stayed on the 3rd floor in the corner with street view. It was a little noisy at night from cars that drive by if you're a light sleeper but otherwise it was fine. Bedroom was 2 Queens and the pillows and bed were very soft. Included with the room was a cooling fridge (did not notice it froze anything) and a microwave. Bathroom had Dove products of hand soap and lotion by the sink and body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There was also a sign that if you forgot to pack anything you could call the front desk to get it. My son forgot his razor and they provided a disposable one with a few packets of shaving cream. This is free just for asking. The breakfast is on the lobby floor and is from 6am to 9:30am sharp! There are many hot items that do run out around 9:15am so keep that in mind. There was yogurt, boiled eggs, hot oatmeal, and for the hot prepared entrees it was either potatoes, scrambled eggs, veggie omelet or cheese omelets and one day was biscuits and then gravy. There is a pancake machine to make your own pancakes. Juice machines include cranberry, apple or orange juice. They also offer hot cinnamon rolls. And of course there are a variety of pastries, muffins, bagels and toast and cereal machines. The best part is there is a fresh brewed coffee machines and that is available all day for your caffeine needs. Parking lot does get full in the late evening but there is plenty of free parking somewhere around the building. Pool was warm and my son and his friend did use the gym which had a few cardio machines and plenty of barbell free weights. Housekeeping staff was wonderful and provided any extra towels we needed. This was a wonderful location with clean rooms, great breakfast and hospitable staff. It is close to interstate 5 to jump on and off the fwy. About 10 minutes drive to Disneyland park. I would definitely choose to come back and stay here.
