We ate here today but will not return. I ordered their Indian taco and dessert special. The…read morehamburger for the taco was burned and the small piece of yellow cake with brown and pink frosting was a joke. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. The fries also were overcooked and most were left in the basket. The server did her best to be pleasant. The booth seats were "repaired" with orange duct tape on them. I can appreciate a tasteful amount of uplifting quotes and religious passages in a place of business, but the owners took it to an extreme. Virtually on every wall--even in the bathroom--was another scripture or some religious advice. Too much is just too much.

Small town, friendly service, comfort food diner. Recognized for having the "Best Hamburger in…read moreHenryetta." I can't comment on the hamburger other than the ones I saw on another diner's table. They looked old school fantastic. We had the catfish basket and the Mona's Chicken basket. There were generous portions in each meal and unquestionably freshly made. The baskets come with one side option. Mona's has a lot to choose from. My wife had the okra and an extra side of Mac and Cheese with her basket. I had the house made onion rings. I didn't care for the Mona's Chicken. Instead of strips of chicken breast, it was small bite sized chunks. It was just too much breading. After a few bites I ordered a side of cream gravy for dipping. That improved the meal. The catfish had a nice crust, moist inside, but the flavor was a little off. Okra, mac and cheese, average. Hushpuppies excellent. And then there were the Onion Rings. These were excellent. Large fresh, wide rings of sweet onion lightly battered, then fried to perfection. Crispy crunchy on the outside and crisp fresh onion on the inside. Onion rings are mandatory with any meal here. Probably the perfect meal here is the Burger and the Rings. But there's more. Fried pies filled with fruits that represent most of the colors in a rainbow. I couldn't pass them up for tomorrow's breakfast. Peach, Apple, Cherry and Apricot all went home with us. Great with this morning's cup of coffee. I bet they are even better when served hot and fresh in the diner.

If you're road tripping anywhere near Porter, stop here. This is one of those places you read about…read morein "best hidden road trip stops" articles and it actually lives up to it. The Peach Barn is packed with specialty jars, fresh baked goods, and things you didn't know you needed. The pickles? The best I've ever had. So good I came home and ordered more of them on Amazon from the Amish Wedding company because I refused to run out. Grab more than one jar. Trust me. I also tried the salad dressings and baked goods and everything tasted fresh and high quality. The shop isn't huge but there is enough room for everyone shopping and plenty of nice staff around. Pro tip: sample what you can and buy more than you think you need. I under bought and regretted it immediately. This is a stock up every time you travel kind of stop.

They had so many peach themed things and Whole Foods that were grown locally. I genuinely love handmade and all natural food. They also had a menu and tables and chair so you could eat there as well. I felt like I was on a farm and I loved it! The service was also great! I was asked if needed help looking for anything! If I am ever passing through the small town of Porter, OK, I will definitely be stopping by again! Thank you PEACH BARN!

I've never ever heard of this place until today! I was visiting Shawnee and decided to go down the…read moremain food drag in town. I noticed the name and the brightly colored sign and took a u turn so I could check it out! Upon entering I noticed the space is spacious and kinda empty. Maybe they will put some tables and chairs for guest to sit inside. Once I approached the register you see the display of cookies. of course everything looks delicious so I ask the expert (employee) her favorite and she tells me The brookie and a new cookie for Valentine's Day. I order both with 2 cookies being about $9 w/taxes. I couldn't wait to try them so as soon as I got in the car I took a bit from each! So delicious!! It's a great desert spot and I'll stop again and again!

Visited on my their grand opening day! Boy oh boy, they were quite busy!…read more They had a drive thru but we opted to go in stores to get the full experience. Walked in and the staff was so busy we weren't welcomed. No biggie though, I understand. They have only two benches inside so there were customers standing along the walls and sitting on the ground. Wasn't sure where the line started but luckily some nice customers in line showed us where it was. The location offers 6 cookies and 2 special weekly cookies that changes. We ordered a Brookie, which was a brownie-caramel cookie and the stuffed chocolate chip. After 20 minutes, our names were called for our order however, we were told the stuffed chocolate chip would be another 13 minutes as they were in the oven. Soo... we exchanged for the pumpkindoodle since those were already ready. I guess what makes this location different from a regular cookie shop is that they focus on the filling inside the cookie. The Brookie had a thick layer of caramel inside and on top. A super messy cookie but it was very delicious. I'd give it 4/5 as it was very gooey, just wish it was warmer. The pumpkindoodle wasn't my favorite... the outside had a great texture but the inside tasted like pumpkin purée lol. I wished we were able to try their stuffed chocolate chip, it must be good as it seemed to be the most popular! I would like to mention that I understand that it was their grand opening and they were super busy. HOWEVER, seems as though the owner and the manager had to help out and I got an ick seeing their hair wasn't pulled up. DONT COME FOR ME, I LOVE HOW THEYRE HELPING THE EMPLOYEES BUT I wished they had tied their hair along with them. I'd like to give this place a try again but maybe in a few weeks.
