It felt tantamount to extortion. While I fully support what photographer do and understand that a lot of work goes into the final product, the outright refusal to work together -- or worse accept any type of non-cash payment -- shows that Michael Carr Photography does not care about long term customer care. We would never consider using them again in the future knowing this is the way past clients are treated. (Not to mention, the wedding photos in question put them on the COVER of The Knot at the time. They got their money's worth in referrals alone.) Choose another photographer who works in the modern age and cares about their customer's experience. Lisa and Michael do not. EDIT: Per the response it's clear that customer service is terrible, still. If they wanted to rectify it, they'd reach out. We managed to snag her last minute, and got a really, really great deal on pricing. We had a tough time finding a videographer who was willing to provide us raw footage for us to have to watch over the years beyond just a quick 3 minute video or interviews-- let alone one who would do that within our budget. We almost bought a video camera and got a cousin to do it, but luckily we stumbled upon Silver Arrow Photography and got both raw footage and a stunning 5 minute edited video to one of our favorite romantic songs. We hired them for 4.5 hours-- just enough for the 30 minute ceremony and 4 hour reception, but she showed up early and captured some getting-ready moments that turned out to be really special on film. The resolution is super high quality and the video looks bright even on the dim dance floor with rose colored uplights. They uploaded it to Dropbox for us to download our highlight video 4 weeks from the day we got married, and our full raw footage was available about a week after that. Of all of our vendors for our wedding, I was most impressed by Silver Arrow Photography. I can't recommend them enough... it almost makes me want to get married again! (To the same guy, of course.)

She is incredibly honest with everything and won't try to upsell you on extra portraits/books/hours/etc. She walked us through the whole process and replied to all my emails/texts within minutes (I contacted her quite a bit). We sent her pinterest boards for ideas beforehand and met with her one last time to finalize everything. The day of, she and Leslie her 2nd photographer showed up early to get ready. Both parties had their own photographer the whole time and took incredible pictures. Our favorite part about Anne Marie is that she has great ideas for pictures...it seems like most photographers have a certain template of pictures they use and all their weddings end up looking similar. She was there for every shot and was able to work with our other vendors seamlessly and with a smile. We received our pictures about a month-ish later and was very impressed! She took the time to edit the pictures (lighting, filtering, photo-shopping, etc). In our opinion, everyone should book Anne Marie for your wedding photography...we will be recommending her to everyone and will probably use her again for any photography needs in the future!
