The food here is different and good. Sort of tapas from Beirut. The 24€ menu is enough for two average eating people. They tell you that they cannot serve one menu fir two people, and it's not that much food. This is nonsense. The best part of our meals here (2 times we stopped in), was the nice staff & the way they helped choose the right meals for our first Lebanese dinner! Meat is terrible. Service takes forever and gets orders wrong. The only good thing is the felafel.

Had Lunch for 5 here today, three adults and two kids. Hummus and baba ganoush for starter were very good, always a good bellweather of what's to come. We ordered the Shish tawook plate for the kids to share and a lamb shawarma sandwich and two falafel sandwiches. The Shish tawook was excellent, great flavors, perfectly cooked, dare I say it...better than my own home made one the sandwiches we also great, simply the best lamb shawarma I've ever had and the falafel sandwich's were also excellent. Just returned from evening meal at the Beirut. Extremely dis-appointed. Was expensive for what was actually provided. The food lacked flavour, in some instances was overcooked. More sad was that we asked for additional bread and was charged 30 cents for one additional piece. Same for small bowl of salad. Had the Menu Degustation, which was not worth the money. Being a solid trencher man I expected more, certainly when comparing to many of the surrounding establishments. The only good point was that if you were looking for a midday snack, the wraps / bocades were probably OK. Fortunately Burger King was just up the road to provide the required sustanance for the evening. Not a place I would recommend. read more
