In this instance, I was so shocked by Andrew's confusion that I had to share the experience. The estimate we requested was to repair a a 20 inch by 28 inch patch where we removed an old chimney. The estimate he gave was to replace 1/2 of a 2017 roof for $3.000. Literally. When i called him out, the bid went to $200 (too cheap). Miscommunications happen.....you may have better luck. Once the contractor finally got here he made the decision to do a completely different repair that took significantly less time and materials, and they still wanted to charge me $1400 for a job I could've done because "there aren't roof companies that do repairs, so we really do them as a favor so we make the short list when you need a roof". Had I received the correct communication or the amount of work done I was originally told I'd be getting this would be a better review. $1000 in the end for work I could have completed faster is wild.
