I was going to give this place four stars but decided to take it to five. The service was great,…read moreloved sitting in the back patio area, and the food was good. I definitely enjoyed our late breakfast, overall good flavors, drinks and portions. It is a bit pricy for something like a Chilaquiles, but I do understand adding the egg and meat was an up charge but still. The burger was very good and cooked to the correct temperature. Yes meat has a correct temperature and anything over medium rare is just sac-religious. I would go back if the opportunity arose.

However, the food and the lattes we got were not very good. My boyfriend and I got the golden latte. He got it cold, and I got it hot. The hot was better than the cold, but still wasn't very good. I don't know who likes turmeric in drinks that are not heath-conscious drinks, but if you're the person, this is for you. It has very strong turmeric. We shared the chicken and waffles, which the waffles were a bit dry. The saving grace is the small side of ice cream, which I used to make the waffles less dry. The chicken was crispy, but it had some parts where the texture was off for me. Wouldn't really recommend unless you really value ambiance and would have it carry a restaurant.

Ojo de Agua was hands down one of our favorite food finds in Mexico City. Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!

En la zona tranquila you can find many options. I stopped here because I am familiar with the bread…read moreand longest for a healthier organic option. Today I enjoyed feuit with yogurt and granola, Mandarin juice, cafe americano, and a pan artesanal con fruta rojos. The fruit was mostly cantelope which is disappointing considering it's Mexico and the options are endless year round. Ingot the large and a small would of suffices had I known it would be so standard. The yogurt and granola portion was equal to that of the small serving on my neighbors table with small size fruit. What's up with that? The rest of the foods were at expected levels. The service staff were like tornados breaking any silence dancing through tight spaces. For the simplicity of.my order it still took almost 20 minutes to get yogurt. It's a fairly international zone and I could see other tables annoyed by how busy they were and unable to see the evilneye of desire coming from their tables. Still everyone was super polite, accepted my student Spanish, and worked to resolve any issues. The service and fruit variety warranted one star removal. Why pretend to be the best and deliver mediocrity in the simple areas?

They are on a very charming street that had a romantic vibe. We split 2 tartines tonight. One was cold; a curried chicken salad served with a sweet cranberry sauce on the side. My husband preferred this sandwich even though he wanted a warm tartine when we ordered. The warm tartine was asparagus and Gruyere topped with lots of fresh parsley and tomatoes. I enjoyed both and would order either one again if there weren't so many other choices that sounded so tempting. We each had a mint lemonade which was refreshing. Each tartine was 140p and the lemonades were each 42p. Inside looked really nice too. This chain does it right.

The presentation of everything was stupendous. The surroundings and vibe were also great. It felt like you were in a garden oasis nestled amongst trees. The servers were friendly and helpful. There was a fruit bar, chia seed pudding, oatmeal, fruit parfaits, breads, grilled veggies, all sorts of drinks (coffees, hot chocolate, etc), and lunch options available during breakfast. It was definitely upscale and a splurge. I loved the ceramic mugs that the drinks were served in. I also liked the staging of all of the stations and how it was often in traditional Mexican pottery. The bad: Some of the food was so so. The interesting: There were tons of vegetarian options.

We shared a delicious red snapper that is filling for a party of 3 or 4. They made us Carne Asada tacos with cheese, it was AMAZING.
