Touranj special
F S.

Excellent traditionally yet tastefully decorated restaurant in the suburbs of Montreal. Presentation is the hip new traditional way with copper bowls, plates and serving dishes. The four skewer family meal was fairly large and tasted good. The. Chenjeh was a bit tougher than I would've liked, but overall the quality was good and the The special came with your choice of soup or salad, and a fairly large side of hummus. Easily enough for two, if not three people. The service was very polite, but I would say they were under staffed with two waiters and one bus boy for more than 10 tables.

Kabob with chicken and spicy beef skewers and salad. I was expecting a Persian salad but thats ok others may prefer this mixed salad.

Very solid take out Persian food. Kabobs were moist and tasty, plentiful rice, all the stews were flavorful and well done. Great take out cant speak to the dine in but i would definitely recommend and will return next time in Montreal.

Zeytoon parvardeh & Kal kabab

5 stars is an insult to this fabulous place. Food was absolutely amazing. Their Barg kebab is even better than Raffi in CA, which is arguably known to be the best in the US. The kal-kabab and zeytoon-parvardeh were among the best I have ever tried. Music was upbeat, the restaurant is nicely nicely decorated, and staff were polite and attentive. My only recommendation to management is thinking about turning their business into a chain, and opening other branches in large cities in North America.

Food is excellent, the plates are plentiful. A local neighborhood gem. Worth a visit although it is not in a typical tourist area.

This is the place to go for high quality Persian food and outstanding kabobs, especially the barg. Came with my Persian in-laws and they raved. In fact, we ate here Saturday. Then returned on Monday, it was that good. Has parking in front of restaurant. Interior is cute and quaint.

Chicken Kabob, Barg Kabob, Kabob Torah and Mirza Ghasemi

Simply amazing Persian/Iranian food in a beautiful setting. Restaurant is clean and well decorated and the food is UHmazzzzing. From the Mirza Ghasemi Eggplant dip, to the Barg Kabob, the Chicken Kabob, to the Kabob Torsh -- everything tasted fresh, moist and delicious. Great large portions! Will positively return to this wonderful restaurant. The service was most cordial and professional. Wish they had better dessert options ... maybe in the future. Thanks for a MOST marvelous gastronomic experience

This is one of the restaurants you want to go with your better half only, or with a small group of…read morefriends for a nice, homemade delicious dishes in a quaint, cozy with a bit of upscalish feel environment. 12-13 tables in total so make sure you call ahead to reserve. Better not bring kids here in order to not disturb the vibe for you and the guests. Hello McDonald's, Casa Grecque etc. Of course very important to mention that it's a BYOW. Accommodating, friendly and welcoming staff. The menu consists of Italian and Persian dishes. Not a wide selection but just enough not to make your head spin and then take half an hour to decide. Cool! We came here for the Persian dishes. Although the dishes are not exactly what I've become accustomed to in terms of portions and presentation, the quality was top notch. Order a an appetizer with an extra basket of their unique delicious warm bread if you have a big appetite. They have only one Persian appetizer called Mirza Qasemi which is smashed smoked eggplants mixed with eggs. We tried it and.... Mmmm good! My take is that the Persian dishes here are influenced with some Italian accent or perhaps it's a fusion? Not sure but definitely worth asking the friendly staff on my next visit. We took the Bakhtiari Kebab (veal and chicken small cutlets) and Chelo Mahicheh (braised lamb shank). My advice? Although both were very good, I'd recommend you not to skip the Chelo. It was just Mmmmm mmmm mmmm in simple English. You have to get that amigo/amiga. I have nothing much to add besides the above and aware it's not a good practice to sprinkle 5 stars from just one visit but sometimes you go with your gut feeling and say, yeah they got it right baby. Just hand them the damn stars.

I felt like I was cheated and paid 25% more than I should have. i will never go back because of this. Further more, they charged $4.40 for a regular coffee and refills were ate the same charge.
