He definitely has a Napoleon syndrome complex. I was running late and the security guard instead of advising me to slow down firmly, he started yelling at me, demeaning me, and belittled me for close to 2 minutes. In my entire life no police officer has ever been so rude and demeaning to me. He treated me like I was a criminal. Wow. I know I was wrong to run but there was no one on the street in front of me so why treat me like a criminal. I won't go to that office and I'll warn all my senior citizen friends of this Napoleon syndrome security officer. I guess he gets his jollies shouting at senior citizens. In fact, due to this experience by this irate security guard I had to see a doctor because my heart was acting up after this incident. My wife advised me that we should see a lawyer to rectify the situation.

On May 25, 2023, I had a somewhat awkward experience trying to get to the entrance of this place. They're doing construction, and the front entrance is blocked by fencing. You need to walk around it to get inside. This was my first time here. I was tasked with doing a pickup in the lobby. Once inside, everyone is behind glass. Staff was helpful and professional. An elderly man needed help locating an inmate, so a staff person came out to offer assistance. I had to wait in the lobby, and then my "pickup" came out. It was an uneventful experience. If you wait in the lobby, there's no scan or search. No cellphone use in lobby

I had a time when I had to stay here & I will admit for the worst food it was pretty good! I think one night was Salisbury steak with vegetables and some potatoes. The guards treated you with respect but still treated you like an inmate. The clothes were fairly new & clean. This place I was housed for a few days had windows to see outside. Very accommodating with visiting hours. Plus in the summer the weather is nice even though you can't go outside the walls of the jail. I'm from south city and it was a pleasure stay here momentarily.

All I did was have cannabis and MDMA in my own home and the cops busted in threatening to shoot us, and in the court no one spoke to me, but the lawyer said they were blackmailing me into going to prison. I still don't understand how jail is supposed to help anything whatsoever, and how they try to force milk and eggs in your food, because somewhere there's an animal in a cage just because they wanted to put me in a cage. The jury duty process was interesting. I know everyone complains about jury duty but if you are…read moreable to serve on a jury at least once in your life I think it's worth it to see how a court trial plays out. You get a summons in the mail and if you don't reschedule or somehow excuse yourself permanently you should go in if your group is called. I've seen the judge issue either summons or an arrest warrant (?) for those that fail to show up to jury duty, so it seemed pretty serious if you fail to show up. On the first day you may spend quite a lot of time waiting around either in the waiting room or in the court room if they're doing voir dire (jury selection or interview process). You may want to bring a book or something. If you make it through voir dire and are picked to serve on the jury, the jury service depends case by case. I was selected and served for about a week. Be prepared for long days in the courtroom. You can't use phones or laptops but you can take notes via pen and notebook that they will supply. The lunch breaks were surprisingly generous like 2 hours but it may vary depending on the case. It was interesting seeing court proceedings and multiple witness testify in court. The jury deliberation room is cozy and they have bathrooms and water in there since you're supposed to be locked in until you reach a verdict (or if it's a multi day deliberation then I guess until the end of the day). You get some compensation each day and the check arrives few weeks later. It was like $15/day which may be enough to cover lunch at least. Overall it was an enlightening experience and I was grateful for the chance to see how our justice system worked up close.

Note: Hall of Justice building doesn't officially open until 8 am so prepare to wait outside. THE WAIT: - Doors open at 8 am, you place your items in a bin to be X-ray (including watches and belts). - You go through a metal detector and pick up your stuff - Go down a floor where you wait in a hallway - When the doors open, you place your summoning cards in a bin and sit down. Those with no hardships wait outside while those who do will have to fill out a form to explain to the judge - Everyone is called back in again and each person is given a form with a series questions to help determine if you are fit to be in the jury - Lawyers do an initial jury selection and ask them a series of questions. Note that just because you were initially selected doesn't mean you are to be on the jury. There can be a chance they dismiss you. - Lawyers will discuss amongst themselves with the judge to decide if they want to dismiss any jurors based on given answers. That was as far as I got, hopefully this helps. FOOD: - Cafeteria within the building, affordable. I got bim bim bap, it was okay tasting and lacked meat but for the price and the fact they even had Korean food, I can't complain. WORKERS: - Everyone was very nice in general!

The defendant attorney was in violation of our contract that required him to do the work in reasonable amount of time. He had dragged the case on and on for so long, by keep asking the court for Continuance, that the judge finally denied the attorney's request for another Continuance and asked him to make up his mind. This by itself was a clear confirmation and evidence that the case progress was unreasonably slow, causing the objection, refusal and annoyance of the judge and forcing me to hire a second attorney to handle the case. Defendant attorney refused to refund any portion of the retainer so I could pay the second attorney, claiming he had done some work already and Mr. Weibell agreed! My argument was, what's the purpose of doing any work if he was going to sit on the case for more than a year causing me to hire and pay a second attorney to re-do everything that he had done from the beginning, especially when the judge agreed that the progress on the case was unreasonably slow, in violation of the terms of our agreement? Weibell was very unjust, unfair, biased, prejudice, unfit to judge and unethical. He'll be a great judge in an apartheid system.
