I've lived here for a year and a half. The apartment itself is beautiful and at a great price. The maintenance staff is amazing, but the management is pretty awful. I've never lived anywhere so high maintenance. They send all kinds of emails and leave all kinds of notes about what we're expected to do to avoid some consequence or another. I'm afraid to take vacation or my car might get towed for some last minute construction to the lot (apparently, as the property manager Kevin pointed out to me, 48 hours notice is all they're legally required to give and that's all they gave). Really - he didn't even bother to give me a call before having me towed at my expense for 350 dollars.
The parking in general is another weak point here. They do have free parking, but as I mentioned you can't count on it 100% of the time, and as Kevin mentioned, tenants are responsible for where they park if the lot is full or if they decide to close the lot for a week on short notice. The street parking around here is 2 hour parking Monday through Friday so you risk being towed. The free lot is very crowded and they make it worse by reserving multiple spots for zip cars. If you come home late you might have to park on the street. I think the garage parking (which is actually pretty nice) is an extra 50 a month so that might be worth the investment. That's also subject to closure, though.
In the end this is a great place to live. I can't deny that even if I'm salty about some things. Just know what to expect from management and the parking situation. read more
