I hired Sun Coast Roofing in Longwood, Florida to repair my roof in February 2025. I was told the…read moreroof coating would last more than 5 years, and the work came with a 5-year warranty. I paid close to $7,000 for this job, expecting peace of mind. Less than one year later, my roof is already leaking, and I now have damage inside my home. This is completely unacceptable for work that was supposed to last years and still be under warranty. I contacted Sun Coast Roofing to resolve the issue. A man did come out to inspect the roof and confirmed that the roof was still damaged and said they would "do something about it." That was over two months ago, and since then, I have heard nothing. I have called multiple times and tried reaching an employee named Natasha, but she is always "in a meeting" or unavailable. At this point, no one is returning my calls, and I feel completely ignored. This is not fair or professional, especially when the work is clearly under warranty. I trusted this company and paid a large amount of money, and now I am left with a leaking roof and interior damage. If this issue is not resolved soon, my next step will be to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would not recommend this company based on my experience

Enter Restore Roofing... and I am SO glad we found them. Randall, David, and their entire team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They came out, thoroughly inspected everything, worked to recreate the leak, and provided a detailed report with photos that we could submit. They took their time, explained everything clearly (in a way that actually made sense), and were completely honest and upfront the entire process. What truly impressed me was their integrity. Even though they could have tried to take on more work themselves, they instead recommended we contact Florida Solar Contracting since our issue was tied to our solar -- and our original installers were no longer in business. That referral ended up being exactly what we needed, and it speaks volumes about their character. It's rare to find a company that puts doing the right thing over making more money, but that's exactly what Restore Roofing did. If you're looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely honest local company -- this is it. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I had multiple companies come out and give me pricing and their opinion/recommendations (all three were highly rated on Yelp and google). Tyler came out on the day and time specified, he was communicative, nice and easy to deal with. He really took the time to look at everything, crawled in both attic spaces and outside on my 2 story hip roof and gave me his opinion and photos to support his recommendations and pricing. All 3 companies gave me a different scope of work, however i am in the construction industry and Tylers scope was the most on point and he also listened to what my needs and wants were and kept that in mind when giving me his recommendations. They didnt try and sell me a re-roof (which a lot of companies will even if you dont need it) and I liked this and found them to be honorable in this regard. I found their price to be competitive for a company that is licensed and insured, and the work they did was done well and supervised and checked. What was most important to me was not only the work done, but if any of it failed, what their response would be and how it would be handled. Can i get in touch with them again? Are they responsive after the work was completed? Well, i recently found out. I had 2 leaks this past week that have been getting worse. I was obv upset because i thought it was the roof. I called Tyler, and he told me he would be out the next day to take a look. He came when he said he would, climbed up in the attic and took a good look around, and found that it is my chimney leaking. He made my life easier by referred me to a stucco guy whos coming out this afternoon. I like that they are not pushy, they make me feel well informed as to what they think and WHY via photos, answering all of my questions and very easy to deal with and get in touch with (i hate chasing contractors!) I definitely recommend them, and look forward to our continued relationship. THANK YOU TYLER!!!

What a nightmare!…read more Century roofing replaced our roof after hurricane Milton, and destroyed our home due to their poor workmanship and complete lack of accountability to repair properly. Our roof was "completed" on January 4, 2025 and immediately started collecting pools of water under the roofing material. We contracted for a modified bitumen flat roof replacement with a hard 3/8" silicone protective coating. That style roof is tightly bonded to the underlying hard material. What they installed, without our knowledge nor consent, was a loose plastic sheeting that was poorly attached at the edges with a thin 3/4" flashing and sealed with acrylic caulking. none of that would have passed a building inspection. Did I mention that they never pulled a permit, as required by law? Well the acrylic caulking melted away on the first warm day (which is almost any day in Florida). Water constantly built up under the cheap plastic roofing material and we could feel waves whenever we walked on it. The expensive silicone coating that was to harden more than concrete within six months, never bonded and crumbled like sand to the touch. Our home interior became unusable for months due to ceiling collapse, water damage and mold. it smelled horrible for months. We reported the problem immediately, and often until October, when we realized that they would never repair it. They had sent people to randomly caulk areas to "fix" the leak, even though it was apparent that the entire seal was faulty and that the materials under the cheap plastic were full of water and mold. One time, the home office sent a crew to replace one piece of underpayment, which they did while completely ignoring that all of the surrounding wood and materials b egg low the plastic were very wet and moldy. The owner himself even came out and declared the roof to be dry and properly installed. we have videos from before and after his visit showing puddles of water below the cheap plastic material. We never once went onto our roof from January until October without feeling those puddles under our feet. Iur flat roof is actually our terrace that we use regular. it was clear that their repairs were never going to fix the problem and our home would remain unusable until we hired someone to replace their work in the flat roof. Both areas of flat roof needed to be completely removed and started from scratch. So we had to pay another roofer to do that. A few days after the owner of Century declared the roof good, the new roofer pulled it up and found 80% of the wood was rotten due to water damage and mold. None of the industry standard methods of sealing the roof had been performed. Just short cut after short cut. We also had to pay another contractor to remediate the water damage and mold throughout the interior of the house that all came from the century roofing installation. We had just redone the interior earlier in the year after hurricane Milton, so everything was good before the horrible roof from century destroyed it. I wish that I could say something positive about Century Roofing, but I had to pay to replace my roof twice plus several thousand dollars more to remediate the damage caused by their poor workmanship and defective construction.
