There is one good thing about Beer Universe, and that is their selection. They have a lot to choose from. But when it comes to convenience and customer service, there is much to be desired.
Most of the staff doesn't speak English well. It's very frustrating trying to get a point across. There are almost no price labels on anything, so imagine trying to find a price from someone who doesn't understand what you want. Almost all of their beer is overpriced, Price Chopper down the street almost always has better deals.
The bottle return is in a separate part of the building. So you must drive out back to unload, then walk a bit to the front of the store for your cash. Their is almost never an attendant out back to help you. And when there is, they don't speak English well enough for them to actually help you. Each employee has a different system to count your bottles. Again, in bad English. Some want you to do it, which is crazy. Some just look at your pile, and low ball what their willing to pay you. I just packed up my stuff and went elsewhere when the guy told me he wouldn't pay me for all of them.
