The hubster is an amateur brewmaster, he loves to brew his own beer with wacky flavours like Habanero peppers. He's been buying his grains, hops and yeast from Beer Grains since the time that they were only in Deep River and doing deliveries to the parking lot of the Clocktower Brew Pub on Bank Street like once a month. Then they opened up an actual store on Bank St, but that closed and now they are on Cremazie in Gatineau, QC.
I accompanied him on his latest grain run and while I have zero interest in beer and beer making, I can say that the store was very nice. The person working there was friendly, and the store was well organized. In addition to actual beer making ingredients, they had books on brewing, equipment to make beer, and also accessories like those big wooden paddles that restaurants use to serve you beer flights. My husband says that the prices are reasonable and he's never had any issues in dealing with them.
The store is in an industrial area. There's limited free parking on site. read more
