But I was quite intrigued when I arrived! They have a haunted hayride, 30 minute woods trail, axe throwing, food, bar, a fire performer, creepy characters running around... it's a really cool place to just hang out at. You don't have to plan to do the trail or hayride if you don't want to. For places like this, I don't expect much outside of the main attraction. I believe they're done for the year now, but while Halloween is the most active and fun time to go, it's super busy, and you'll have to pace yourself with any groups ahead of you on the trail. Mind you, there wasn't a wait... but I feel like I would've been a lot more scared if I didn't have some of it spoiled by people in front of me. I will spare no details, because if you haven't been, you're in for a treat. Make sure you read up on Leech Woods before you go... it's quite the story!

To start, the farm has an absolutely huge property it sits on with lots of different activities - a barn, a jumping pad, etc. We have had a one and a two year old at these events, and I do think this location is better suited for an older child. There is A LOT of walking in between these activities that is hard for a very little one. The terrain is up and down with paths that have large puddles and dents in the mud, so also not suitable for a stroller or wagon. There's a large dead space between parking and the first bit of activities, which I wish they would do something with personally. Next, the value of the ticket. The ticket prices can be steep, but you can shave some money off with discount codes and buying before you go. Again, I think with an older child and buying a discounted ticket, it is worth it. We did not get pumpkins in the fall, but we did get flowers in the summer and they were absolutely gorgeous. We had a great time picking them and the staff is so friendly. Last wish item I have for this place is food! They really only have drinks and popcorn (at least when we have been there).

I don't particularly like this area because it's always so many bees and also slim picking depending on when you go. Beyond that they have several activities for kids to do and you could stay for hours with different photo ops, the petting zoo, the big bounce area, the zip line, tug of war, the goat race and many more. They even have fireworks on select nights. The place is pretty big and we can never finish everything in one day because it's a lot of walking lol. Nevertheless it's well worth the money , customer service is good, and it is a lot to do. I would recommend taking better care of the petting zoo because it really wasn't kept as well as I would've liked it to be. Side note: There was an incident in which an elderly woman fell while I was there. I would like to commend the staff for how much care and support they gave her to make sure she was OK.

My husband and I had a great time visiting Baugher's today! It was their first day of the season…read moreand because it was a Friday afternoon, it wasn't too busy. We ended up picking a basket of our own strawberries. The lady who rang us up in the market and explained the process was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who drove the tractor to and from the field did a great job explaining the picking process and which strawberries to pick or not to pick. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to take the tractor to and from. Afterwards we visited the petting zoo and fed the animals two bags of food which we purchased from the market. They were sooo cute! The one goat was so funny and his name should be "Shadow" since he followed us around the whole time! He can be seen in our pic feeding the duck. He was so funny! The animals were all friendly and super cute to hang out with for a bit. Feeding the goats up on the structure via conveyorbelt was so fun and entertaining! I highly recommend visiting and plan to be back in a couple months to pick peaches and nectarines!

Me and my grandchildren attempted to pick apples today. First, we waited about 20 minutes for a…read moretractor to take us to the field even though there was a short line. There were no indoor bathroom facilities and the Spot a Pot was very dirty. Then when we got to the field the majority of the apples were either split or rotten. We were not allowed to pick from the first few rows where there seemed to be good apples. We had a difficult time finding enough apples to fill the small peck bag. It was a total rip off to charge people $15 a peck when there were very few good apples to pick. Most of them that weren't split or rotten were a little larger than a ping pong ball. This is the second year in a row that I am very disappointed. I won't be back.

I don't know what they do to their pumpkins but they are the most vibrant and long lasting pumpkins you will find in the area. They are always bright orange with healthy green stems and last well through the year. The staff at the park and farm store are very friendly and always helpful. It is not an all inclusive ticket. But the worst thing (and the main reason for the two star rating) is that the jumbo pumpkin patch was absolutely INFESTED with Jimsonweed, a toxic and very spiky plant! It is not somewhere to take kids, especially toddlers, because they could easily grab the spiked pods and injure themselves. We will not be coming back here and do not recommend this spot at all, especially if you have small children. Hopefully, for their sake, they are able to get rid of the weeds next year.

Military Museum [Frederick MD]…read more We had some time on our last day in MD before heading to the airport... from Linthicum Heights we drove some 50 miles to Frederick. We found a spot on a metered street parking in front of the museum. Admission is $9.50/adult. The museum is dedicated to telling the medical story of the Civil War. There are a lot to see... and learn. The exhibits were great and educational. We learned how the creation of Civil War medicine impacted the present day. Each gallery offered different exhibits following through the footsteps of the soldiers and surgeons and the harsh conditions and personal sacrifices they went through. I can't even imagine how they evacuate the wounded... an "ambulance" then was a wagon pulled by two horses and carted off to a medical facility. Or how about how they did amputations, amputations were the most common surgical operation during the conflict with more than 60,000 being performed. The wounded soldiers suffered different mortality rates depending on where the amputation took place on the body. There are two floors of exhibits. Stairs and an elevator are accessible to the top floor. There are bathrooms on both levels. I am not in the medical field and found the museum very interesting and educational.
