In a world where burger restaurants are popping up on every street corner, you really have to have a superior burger to get more than a 3* rating. This place is cool, spacious. Friendly enough staff and a casual relaxed atmosphere makes it an easy place to pop in to. You place your order at the bar and then rely on the waiters memory to remember where you're sitting (thankfully it wasn't packed when we went). Honestly the burger was nothing special, just tasted like a blob of salty chewy meat, no richness or depth of flavour. The chips, were just plain saltless chips, the dripping had absolutely no flavour, and the slaw was ok. I can't vouch for the beers though clearly thy have many so if you're a beer drinker then I guess it's worth checking out. I'd come again to perhaps try the chicken burger & the wings & mac and cheese balls, but really if you're gonna call yourself "Beer & Burger" your burgers need to excel, not just be a chunkier versions of a substandard McDonalds. read more
