I did Beepboop for 3 years. Couldn't speak at all before, now I speak all the time when I travel to Spanish speaking countries. Still have a way to go to be fluent, but what's important is that they understand me when I speak, and I understand them (when they speak slower). Beepboop doesn't go out of their way to teach grammar, but you learn it by using it, which worked for me. Rote memorizing did not! The instructors are patient, kind and make it fun to learn. During covid I was doing 4 lessons a day, and I made so many friends. See photo of my Beepboop family. We get together online regularly and have even traveled together. We went on a Mexican cruise and got to meet many of the instructors, who came to the ports and showed us around their country. Very special. Not like other Spanish apps, very personalized

Also, they have lessons every 30 minutes from morning until night; therefore, I have flexibility that adjusts to my schedule.

My cousin went to this program, and I have so many complaints. I don't think there is enough time…read moreor space for it all... 1. Do NOT get with their host program. They charge $500/month and make no guarantees about your living arrangements. One kid was given a garage as a room and no AC. Most are told that they have to stay in their bedrooms and are not free to use the house. Some are not allowed to cook, so they have to microwave or eat out. Some hosts take multiple students so they can make a lot of money and cram the kids in. They also limit utilities and all that. Yes, I've heard horror stories. Ew, and one old couple only gets young Asian girls, and the old man is super friendly with them and likes to sit out with them while they are in the pool. 2. They got super nosy and refused to give my dad a letter stating that my cousin was a full-time student at the school on letterhead. Simple, right? nope. They didn't want to give the letter, and my dad had to raise hell for t he simple letter. 3. They give each student a handbook. I went in the day after they gave them to the students and asked for an extra copy for my parents. The lady hands me the book and starts explaining away excuse after excuse about errors and mistakes and misinformation and contradictions contained within. Did she bother to do the same for the students? Nope. Only told me because I speak English fluently. 4. One teacher was super strict. Which is fine. But she was also MEAN. The teacher told one girl that she was stupid and shouldn't even bother to learn English.....and she did so in the middle of class in front of everyone. 5. Another teacher isn't qualified to teach. Why? Because she was marking certain things incorrect. But they were correct. And I helped my cousin find the rules in a grammar book I bought for him since their textbooks don't cover grammar at all (kinda odd for an English academy?). He took the papers in with the rules marked in the book and asked her why she marked them wrong. The teacher just said ok and left. Eh? Did she bother telling the other students that she was teaching them to write run-on sentences instead of proper compound sentences? Nope. Should I go on? Nah, just know that the list continues on and on and on....

Like every parent, we simply wanted our son to feel safe, supported, challenged academically, and excited about his future. Unfortunately, our early experiences within the public school system in this area were deeply disappointing. There was bullying, a lack of meaningful support, and moments where we truly felt our child was not being protected or seen in the ways he deserved. Finding Palm Valley School changed everything for our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmth, professionalism, inclusion, and genuine care not just from the faculty and administration, but from the other families and students as well. Palm Valley doesn't just educate children. They help them thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. The teachers here are exceptional. The electives and extracurricular programs are incredibly impressive and genuinely future-focused. Whether your child is interested in the arts, leadership, academics, athletics, technology, or community involvement, there are opportunities everywhere. The school creates pathways that truly prepare students for universities, scholarships, and successful futures while still allowing kids to actually enjoy learning. One of the biggest differences we noticed was that learning here feels alive. Our son comes home excited about projects, field trips, discussions, and experiences almost daily. There's a practical, hands-on approach that has helped him grow in confidence and maturity in ways that honestly continue to amaze us. Since enrolling at Palm Valley, our son has absolutely thrived through grades 7, 8, and now 9, and we genuinely look forward to continuing his educational journey here all the way through graduation. No school is perfect, and like every school navigating today's world, Palm Valley has faced challenges. What impressed us most was how professionally and compassionately the board and faculty handled difficult moments. You can genuinely feel that they care deeply about these students and families. Their response during challenging times did not weaken the school community. If anything, it strengthened it. There is resilience, accountability, kindness, and heart here, and it is obvious the students are benefiting from being part of a community that chooses growth and compassion over division. As LGBTQ parents, we cannot overstate what this school has meant to our family. Feeling safe matters. Feeling represented matters. Feeling protected matters. And feeling welcomed without explanation or judgment matters more than people realize. If you are an LGBTQ family considering schools in this area, our advice is simple: do not waste time second-guessing this decision. Learn from our experience. If Palm Valley is a feasible option for your family, enroll your child. And truthfully, this recommendation is not only for LGBTQ families. It is for any family looking for a school that genuinely sees children, supports them, challenges them, protects them, and helps them become excited about who they are and who they are capable of becoming. Palm Valley has been life-changing for our family, and we will always be grateful for that.

He plays every sport because it is a small school and all the kids join in. Many of the teachers attend the sports events to show support for their students. It's is such a great feeling to know that your child feels totally supported by their school and their teachers. He has really grown and matured as a student in this remarkable environment and he adores the teaching staff. We could not be happier with our experience at Palm Valley School and we find it to be worth every penny. We have toured other schools in the area both for grammar school and high school and there is no other option in our opinion. Having relocated temporarily during the pandemic and we thought we might stay for one year but we decided to relocate our family from Marina del Rey solely because our son is so happy and thriving academically of Palm Valley School. Yes, we left the beach because nothing is better than a happy thriving kid!! This school would be 50k in the Los Angeles area and the class sizes would be far larger. Additionally, the families at PVS are down to earth and the PVS community in general is very warm and welcoming. We plan on staying until our son graduates. My only regret is that he did not start at Palm Valley School in kindergarten. PVS may be the best parenting decision we have made thus far.

I have been a client of Inspire In-Home Tutoring for approximately 8 years. I've had both son and daughter tutored by the professionals Jenny has sought out. Every tutor that has come to our home has been very professional and have helped out children from 4 grade math to Trigonometry. Besides conducting themselves very professionally they have always been very knowledgeable in their respective field as well. We have always felt comfortable with their persona as well. The latter was a concern with letting anyone come into our home and tutoring our children but after seeing the quality of tutors Jenny has sent out our minds have always been at ease. We are extremely lucky to have found Jenny and still use her services to this day. I Highly recommended InSpire In Home Tutoring! Thanks for all your help!

My husband recommended I look into trying Alexander Technique and a quick search led me to Constance who is based nearby. I loved working with Constance from the very first lesson. She welcomed me into her cozy studio and I immediately felt at home in her warm, relaxed presence. I began feeling better after incorporating things she showed in in my very first lesson. I signed up for 10 lessons and began seeing her once or twice a week. Each week we built on what was learned before and I began to have a real shift in the way I held and used my body -- even friends and family started comment. Best of all, I had a big reduction in my headaches which went from being almost daily to just a few times a month. A few years went by and I decided to start seeing Constance again to refresh and work on my Alexander Technique. Again I felt a big shift after the very first lesson. I feel so grateful to have found Constance and had the opportunity to work with her. I look forward to my lessons with her each week! Not only has she shown me how to begin to undo all these old habits and to use my body with more ease, she's also shown me how to approach this work with curiosity and gentleness. She's an amazing teacher!
