We have used BeeGiggles two years in a row for our company BBQ. One of the amazing things about a good vendor is that I do not have to worry and babysit. Our entertainer has been wonderful with communication, punctuality and dependability. When our group slows down, she makes balloons to engage. If it rains like a monsoon she will use glitter and a blow-dryer(yes, last year was a wild storm year). When it speeds up she will start putting glitter glue to set while another person is drying if she is able to multitask. I have no cautions or flags that I have experienced. I took my 2 1/2 year old son to YU Kids Island in Woodfield Mall last Friday. Dawn Marie was there making balloon animals for the kids. My son saw other children running around with them and wanted one. He picked out a sword ballon he wanted. However, I didn't have any cash on me only credit so I told my son we would get one next time. Obviously, being a toddler he was not happy about it. We started to walk away and Dawn came over and told me she would make him a sword anyway. She not only made him one, but made me one too. I watched her make balloon creations for about 2 hours and no character was the same. She was very accommodating to my children's requests for colors and preferences. Would NEVER work with this company again. I spoke on the phone with the owner (DawnMarie) twice and arranged and confirmed details for my son's first birthday party. She said she was sending a contract over to be signed and returned. I told her I would be out of the town (it was a holiday weekend) so I would return it when I got back into town. We again discussed this via email the day prior to me sending it and I confirmed her she would receive the contract by that morning. When I sent the contract at the time promised, she sent an EMAIL back saying sorry, she "no longer had talent available at that time". Meaning she took a different event. While I am aware she did not have a signed contract from me at that time, we had a verbal agreement that she would have the signed contract as soon as I got home. I would have provided a deposit by phone, or sent it back by email, or anything else had I even had a clue she would just book something else. I fully believe her decision to do this was $$$ and what she did was just plain sleazy. When I called to confront her it was like taking to a recording- she didn't express any regret and it was obvious she had done this before. She also wrote an email threatening me against writing a negative review when I told her that was my plan. I ended up hiring Once Upon A Dream Performances for a facepainter and Pickles the Clown (Mary) for balloons. Both were five star awesome to work with. And there was no contract it or drama with either one. read more

So, i have NO idea what these and reviews are about. I needed to hire entertainment for my daughters birthday and several moms from my Mommy's group recommended this one. I'm a huge research guru. I compare pros and cons and reviews on people for hours. I did see the negative reviews here so that was concerning but a lot of entertainers in my area had bad reviews so i took that with a grain of salt. I worked with Dawn Marie beforehand to talk about what i needed for my daughters birthday party. I stayed in correspondence with her as well for months prior. On the day of the party, i was told that i wouldn't have dawn who i was expecting but i did have a lady named Maureen. She was FABULOUS. I cannot day that enough. She was a huge hit! We had a lot of calls off for my daughters birthday due to the flu but yet It ended up being a huge huge hit. People couldn't stop raving about her and asking for her contact info. Very unprofessional. I wanted to hire for my daughter's birthday party and I also had to send her a message on the app "Thumbtack" and she never got back to me. Then a week later I called her because she didn't answer and sent a text message yesterday and received no response. I called her today and she finally answered and told me that she wouldn't be able to be hired for the party because she just booked to events yesterday!!!! Beegiggles was one of the entertainers hired for my daughters school fundraiser. I can honestly say that I have NEVER been so shocked by a businesses level of unprofessionalism and misconduct. Not only were children without money being turned away and denied balloon animals or face painting (despite the fact that services were being paid for by the PSO) but the worker that attended was extremely rude and the owner threatened to call the police to a school event because her worker was insisting money she demanded for balloons and face painting were "tips" not payment for services. Funny I always thought tips were given based on the satisfaction level of the customer. Needless to say I won't be using this business for any of my families events. read more

I hired Dawn a few years ago in 2014 or 2015 and it was an amazing experience. Just in the last week or so I asked if she was available for my kids party on very short notice and she said she was! I was never told a different entertainer was going to be doing our party. The girl that came didn't even introduce herself to me upon arrival. I had to ask what her name was and questioned where's Dawn? Not a very professional arrival/introduction. She had very minimal interaction with the children unless it was to say "sorry I can only do what's on the sheet" for face painting. And her painting skills were not that impressive, however, her balloon twisting was impressive. But I signed up for caricatures as well and she didn't do a single one. So Dawn issued me a credit for what she called "a misunderstanding". There was a lot of back and forth and she couldn't seem to care less about my dissatisfaction. But she did mention that she "didn't want to fuel the negativity by replying sooner" cuz it took multiple messages for her to respond. And she was quick to act like she was unaware, that I was unaware of her personally not attending the party. Even tho I made it very clear that I was expecting her by saying things like: "are you available?" And her reply was "yes I am", I even mentioned "can't wait to see you!", and "I'll have a tent set up for you" etc. She knew what she was doing... I believe she is very talented... but the girl that came was not worth the $300 I paid or even the $250 after the "misunderstanding" credit, which means I still paid full price for what I got. But I still tipped her $36 cuz I don't stiff anybody. Dawn says she charges $200/hr (there's a 2hr minimum). I'm sorry but for $400 minimum per gig, she should have far better communications with her guests. I told her I would not be hiring her in the future and she was ever so kind to wish me luck. Terrible experience with owner DawnMarie herself! All I wanted was face painting for the kids, and she hustled me into a more expensive package since I did not know how many kids would attend as it was NOT a kids party. DawnMarie talked me into the cartoon pics for adults too to help fill up the time and everyone would be happy. Of course, a deposit is due at the time of booking, and payment is due in full the day before. Me as the hostess of the event, apparently was suppose to keep track of her time!!! 10 minutes prior to our 2 hour booking, I asked her when she was going to do the cartoon pictures for the adults since I saw kids doubling up on painting! We specifically discussed each kid gets a painting before she would begin doubling up on painting kids more than once given the 1st hour of our 2 hour booking. I complained to her I've been charged for a level 3 service and she only performed a level one!!! Ms. DawnMarie had the nerve to tell me to send her 8 pics of people there and she would draw them up and mail them to me. She never responded to me when I sent them, and when I reached out again, I've been ignored since July 30th.Don't waste your time and money. She also never mentioned her traveling fee charge. Someone just asked me for a referral and it prompted me to write a review. Working with Dawn was excellent! Very professional, courteous and the communication was detailed. When I called to arrange the date, DawnMarie told me that I had to purchase an additional hour at full cost in order to use the certificate- which was NOT in the certificate description.
