My 10 year-old son needed a haircut, and I figured this was a good way to find out if they were any good. If they messed up ... at least it was on someone else's hair! I'm happy to report that my son loved his haircut. His barber was DuMauriea "Thee Hair Razor" Williams. We had a little friendly banter about baseball, heard a story about the ginormous trophy he won at a haircutting competition (on display in the front window), and generally had a good time. My son said, "it was very fun and I love my haircut." While this looks like a solidly African-American barber shop, they gave my white kid an awesome cut too. No matter what kind of hair you need cut, I highly recommend checking out this place. I know we'll be back!

So I arrive with my son (on a holiday Friday) and was greeted by the owner Mootye and the entire experience was delightful. The shop is bright, well-lit and very comfortable. There was plenty of seating and there was no line/no wait. Mootye cut and styled my son and we were in and out in no time. It was a A+ experience and I highly recommend this business.

Joe did a great job cutting his hair and could still create some great conversation with him as well. One of the best statements Joe said to the kid was "Now if you need to get this touched up within the next couple days, it has to be in the morning and you have to bring me some Chick-fil-A, okay?" The mom just laughed it up and the kid said, "Yeah, I can do that." Joe just makes a big smile and begins dancing. Anywho, this place is filled with clocks on every wall packed almost to the point where you (almost) cannot see the wall at all. They absolutely do not take credit or debit. CASH ONLY Joe was my barber both times and got great cuts both times. The first time, I hadn't gotten a haircut in about 6 months. When he went to town on my hair, about 10 minutes later, he turns the chair for me to see the progress and I saw a big, mullet on the back of my head. I just had to smirk and shake my head at what I have come to with the length of my hair. He kept trying to persuade me to keep it because "The ladies would be all over it." I unfortunately had to tell him to continue, maybe in another life I would wear the mullet, but at that time I could not. I work at a Buca di Beppo soo... yeah, couldn't do that. lol Great guys work here, popping jokes all the time, can't wait to get my haircut again with guys. I would 100% recommend these guys.

He absolutely butchered the haircut and within a couple of days is very evident. There are parts of the hair that are an inch longer than other sections we were booked with John. My haircut was with Jackson and this was butchered just as bad. I told him my preference twice and still didn't accomplish it. Both of them were hyper focused on getting it completed as quick as they could. John made several comments about being fast and getting to the next customer before the other barbers could. Foul language among these guys was a problem. I would not recommend for children. Would only refer if in need to get in, get the haircut done quickly. Plenty of other places around to go including sports or great clips for a better cut.
