I would like to praise the Beebe Humane Society. We adopted our yorkie Jake when he was 9 months old 2 years ago. I have to tell you the experience was awesome. Jaxie got in touch with me quickly after I put in my application for Jake. She filled me in in on Jake's personality and once it was decided Jake was our guy Jaxie again was prompt and organized. She explained everything and and answered all my questions about Jake's current schedule. Jaxie took care of everything. She organized the transportation of Jake to us and followed Jake until he was in our arms. After he was home she still took my calls with questions I had about Jake. A friend of mine says it's EXTREMELY unusual for the person to get back to you. She adopted her dogs and the person NEVER got back to her when she had questions. in October we lost Jake's companion Giovanni who was 19 years old and also a yorkie. Jake is devastated so we looked to Beebe Humane society to find Jake another companion and found Gavin a 6 month old Yorkie. Again Jaxie has been responsive, efficient and caring. As you can see, I appreciate all the hard work and love that Jaxie takes in caring for the pups she takes care of. I found two of the loves of my life online through the Beebe Humane Society in 2006. I was looking to adopt Chow / mixes as I had just lost one and he was an angel, too. After submitting my application, I spoke to Jaxie shortly thereafter on the phone, and she asked questions about my experience with the breed, and the hours my family would be at home to properly take care of two puppies. They followed the procedures so that the puppies would be properly placed. She and her husband, Ron, took care of the puppies until they were old enough to come home on the puppy bus to New Jersey, where we live. My beautiful babies, which we renamed Texas and Omaha, lived with our family until their passing, within 4 months of each other, in 2022. They were a blessing to us. Through the years I joined the Friends of the Beebe Humane Society Facebook group, where people share stories about their Beebe babies and as a way to stay in touch with Jaxie, who is still doing such amazing work saving dogs. read more

Beebe Humane Society is a very legit rescue organization. I can contest to the worthiness and love they bring to each and every animal rescued. I got my 5 month old certified Sheltie from Beebe and never regretted my choice. They screen each and every applicant to make sure the animal is a good match both environmentally and personally with their prospective owners. In fact, I never considered a rescue dog before acquiring my "Prince" and I was pleasantly surprised that I got such a great match. "Prince" is so smart, beautiful, and talented that he could have been a winning show dog under the right guidance. Somehow, Jaxie, the care-keeper has a phenomenal talent to find the right owner for the animal. Don't hesitate to go this route. I'm glad I did. read more

I have adopted three yorkies from Beebe Humane Society. This organization is a non for profit and run by volunteers. The states that show up during the search are because this is the general route that the transport drops off. All three of my dogs are healthy, active and a ton of fun. I adopted in 2020, 2022 and 2024. They are breeder surrenders and come with their ACA registration papers and vetted. My last adoption was over a year old, he had complete vaccinations and was neutered. The 1200 fee to adopt is set high because they are vetted and cared for during the time they are at Beebe. We adopted our boy Sneakers from Beebe Humane Society 5 years ago. our interactions with Jaxie were nothing short of phenomenal from start to finish. Following a rigorous vetting process to ensure that we were a good match, our boy arrived on the "puppy bus" stopping in Kittery NH. We were truly impressed that he was in such wonderful condition after traveling so far in a transport rig. Years later when we needed some guidance with our boy, Jaxie was there for us with wise and caring advice. I adopted my dog Whitney from the Beebe Humane Society over 3 years ago. Jaxie took great time and effort to ensure that my husband and I were the right adopters for Whitney. I have adopted from Jaxie years ago , i live in the same town and have been to the rescue many many times..Jaxie is only 1 person now trying to run the rescue and she takes her time finding the right adoptive parents for the precious babies..They are vetted completely before they leave the rescue and that cost money.
