When I approached 'M&F' about a legal matter I had I was dealt with in a very professional manner from beginning to end. As someone that knows only the basics of how things work in the world of law I was quite apprehensive about the matter I was having difficulty with but I was reassured from the very start and really felt safe knowing my case was being looked after by such a successful and knowledgeable firm. Highly recommended no matter what the case, Madden and Finucane will take care of it.

Here you will pick up supplies of paints and other artists materials including canvases, both pre-stretched on standard size frames as well as canvas rolls to cut to individual specifications, various art pads and general stationery notebooks. As the name suggests, the shop seems to be more geared towards the needs of those involved with printing and photography. The tone of the place is in keeping with the Cathedral Quarter's artistic character and I'd regard it as one of the nicer, more friendly artists' supplies shops in the city.

The process was pretty simple too. I sent an email to their info inbox and within 2 hours I had an email back asking for timescales and artwork. All pretty straight forward. Really easy place to find too. Literally opposite St Anne's Cathedral. An A0 poster cost me £12 which I felt was an absolute bargain. I will definitely be using their services again. One tiny thing that is going to stop me giving Cathedral 5 stars is that my poster was a tiny bit pixellated, although this could be seen as my fault for not providing a high enough res image it would have been nice if they had of let me know. 4.5 stars! I will definitely be back.

Stevie M gets his Yelp stuff printed here so I thought I'd check this place out first. I sent a email enquiry and got a response almost immediately from the manager (Ciaran) advising it would cost £7 per t shirt. I told him we were on a budget and he agreed to do for £6 per t shirt which was great. When I emailed him the image, he redesigned the image so it was better quality (at no extra charge). I collected the t shirts yesterday and was really pleased with the quality - so impressed. I will upload some pictures of the t shirts after the hen party.

To be perfectly honest I didn't expect them to be able to but to my shock they said it was no problem. I had created the design I wanted printed in PDF format and even though this was completely wrong they spent time correcting the design. This service was second to none. They even gave me a pen drive to I could transfer the design from my laptop - this was the full service. While I stood and waited for my items to be immaculately printed I started thinking that for this level of service I was going to get stung on the price. Once again to my shock getting 2 fabric items printed only set me back £9! While I was in the store, conveniently located on High Street, I noticed they were printing football kits, stag and hen T-shirts, mobile phone covers - pretty much whatever people requested. If you are looking to get something personalised, look no further - these guys are great.

One is…read moreCulture Night (September), another the Ulster University Art College Degree Show (June) and last but not least the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts (RUA) exhibition (October through to December). According to their website the RUA, which was "founded in 1879...is the largest and longest established body of practicing visual artists in Northern Ireland. Through a series of education and exhibition events throughout the year the organisation aims to celebrate, enrich and expand contemporary approaches to the visual arts." It certainly achieves these aims with the Annual Exhibition normally held within Ulster Museum being the pinnacle. The RUA Annual Exhibition displays artwork by RUA Members, invited Artists and Artists selected through open submission. Via open submission anyone can apply to have their work included in the Exhibition, amateurs and students included. This is what makes for such an exciting show each year - there's a huge diversity of Artists and visual art on display. Each year I literally visit the RUA Exhibition around ten times. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and installations are crammed into the gallery space on the top floors of Ulster Museum. Artwork covers the walls from ceiling to floor in a jig-saw, mish-mash of a display. This is fabulous, because the amateur Artist's work hangs right beside or above the Professional Artist's. It's a truly egalitarian exhibit. If you visit yourself you'll understand why I return numerous times. There's no way you can notice and fully appreciate all the art with a single visit. Each time I return I spot new art I hadn't noticed before, which is an absolute delight. If you're in a purchasing mood you can buy any item on display (though be warned some pieces can be expensive). Alternatively you can have a cheap day out at the RUA Annual Exhibition as entrance is free and the brochure is normally around £5 if you fancy buying it. Either way, I can't recommend this Exhibition enough as without fail it's amazing each year.
