This building is located quite centrally at the top west end of Bedlington Front Street. It is an old, weatherworn building sandwiched between others, beside the post office and adjacent to the council offices and jobcentre. It has the appearance of an old sandstone 19th century house and there is even a front garden style entrance with a pathway leading to the front door. The facade is a little damaged with the signage broken with some letters missing.
This is in the sports club category but it is really a working man's club where people come to drink. It is almost exclusive to a certain group of people and as such is less populated than the chain of pubs in the area.
The club is quite weathered indoors with a look of old and musty furnishings. It has a quaint, North-Eastern comfort about it though. The quality of the refreshments and snacks is very good. The atmosphere amongst the people who frequent the club is wonderful with a high degree of friendliness and lot of chat. read more
