I would 100% recommendation this cafe to stop in for a quick breakfast before walking around Main Street. Lots of seating for a Saturday morning and still plenty of pastry options in the case. Bonus points for the art print vending machine!!

I walked out with the ham and cheese croissant with mustard. I was a little weary about the mustard but it was just right. Not too much and complimented the meat and melted cheese (they heated it up before I left.) I also had a salted caramel latte. In al honesty I am not a coffee person but I do love me some match latte. The drink was overwhelmingly cofee vs salted caramel. The last few sips were so sweet and I like that! I also bought a chocolate chip cookie and it was delicious. Crispy edges but a soft center that tasted just right! It was a cool environment with a few tables. Right across the street from the Polyanna statue. Also, the staff were patient and very happy to be at work!

All my Jane Austen fans lock in:…read more I was caught in that in between space of lunch which I missed and dinner which was a a few hours off at a potluck party. I Yelped this place (keep those reviews coming kids) and thought maybe I'd try to grab a savory chicken pot pie hand pie or something to tide me over. I didn't realize the pot pies were like dinner size lmao so I had to regroup. They had blueberry pie!! Now this is not remarkable in itself but all I wanted for my bday was to go to Acadia and have a lobster roll and blueberry pie on the big day and I had to change my plans for the SECOND year in a row. So in the words of Denzel I said to myself, "I'm leaving here with something." So I got a maple latte - lord. This is probably my fave coffee flavor - and a small blueberry pie for myself. There's a scene in the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice where Mariah Lucas is panicking over how to pack her trunk based on what busybody Lady Catherine DeBerg advised her. Here comes Lizzy Bennett, "Mariah those are your trunks. You pack them the way you want." OK well Amanda G this is your pie and if you want to eat a pie for lunch in your car then you do it. And did. 20/10. Did do again. The next day. With an apple cinnamon muffin and a maple latte.

This place was amazing. It literally is a hole in the middle of nowhere. It's the most fantastic…read morefood I've ever had most everything they sell is grown here on their farm right up the street from here the potatoes and sausages of their own sausage, bacon same thing eggs everything is just amazing. Very very fresh. Specials the day was chicken and waffles, but we decide to go with something on the menu. I got the.I busy feed breakfast sandwich, which is scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese on a fresh homemade in-house baked English muffin. I also have fresh bacon from the farm. I also got a side of homemade bacon, onion, jam, and a mixed berry fruit salad which came with strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. My other half his choice was the fryer which was two eggs with their own homemade sausage patties white sourdough bread also made in House and fries. Except the sausage bag was cooked a little too much. Everything else was fantastic. Nice fresh water. The coffee was never ending the serve of Mary. She was the only server here OK with like 30 to 35 seats and never missed a beat was right on top of everything brought coffee around several times pictures of ice water very friendly open kind recommended things really one of a kind person. The kitchen is run by the owner and her husband. He does a cooking. She does everything else they have a bakery. We ended up taking home a ham and cheese croissant as well as a cinnamon roll and a fruited danish. Everything is made in house and fresh every day so when they run out, they run out which is a good way to be. It looks a beautiful herb and vegetable garden. Everything is so pretty. It's a little parking lot that probably fits 12 to 15 cars. We gonna adjust the right time because about the next people coming in with four and they see them behind us and then the next couple that came in they were already over capacity at that point and had to go out and come back and now they are seating. But everything went smoothly. Yes, it does take a little bit longer with a small place like this, but you know what the food was well worth the wait. I'm hoping to maybe recommend them for our bike run next year if we do this again to Nootka lodge. Also, in case I didn't mention that the only part of the post the coffee was perfect. The husband only had one little complaint and that was the sausage was cooked a little too much. But that's all everything was just out of this world.

The menu was incredible and the food quality was excellent. The hors d'oeuvres were tasty and plentiful. Ashleigh even served piping hot poutine as a late night snack. It's been over two months since my wedding, and I'm still getting comments from friends and family…read moreon how incredible Barry's food was. Even the vegan commented that the cheddar and honey stuffed filo was incredible. When I first met Barry we asked about his accent - turns out he's from South Africa, in a region called Durban. That community is known for being very diverse in culture. He also spent time in California and, obviously, now lives in VT. As soon as he learned that my mother is Indian, but grew up in East Africa, and that both our families love a variety of foods the menu started planning itself. Bhajias, cheddar and honey stuffed filo, samosas, crab cakes, chicken satays - and that's just the appetizers! Each item was meaningful and mouth watering. Dinner was done buffet style. I was a bit concerned about the speed of this and how it would go over with guests (I think everyone loves being served). In the end, people could ask for extra of what they wanted, skip what they didn't, and some managed to get up for seconds. It worked perfectly. Dinner was a wine and herb mopped roast, peri peri style shrimp and scallop kebabs, salt potatoes (simple, but really well done), butternut polenta pie (vegan) and vermont mac and cheese (I regret not getting seconds on this - but as the groom I barely finished my plate) I'd go on about which items I like... but that would be a book - every thing was just perfect, fresh and really well done. The staff was also incredible. He hires a number of high school kids, and some alumni, for weddings. At first I was concerned, but then learned the local high school has a culinary program, so these kids aren't just trying to make a buck - this is what they want to do, and it really showed. Additionally, Barry wasn't exactly kicking back - it seemed like he was every where at once - prepping the buffet serving appetizers and some how I kept hearing his booming laugh as he interacted with guests who just had to stop him to tell him how great the thing they just ate was. The price was right in the middle of what I compared, but the quality, quantity and creativity of the menu put this as possibly the best wedding meal I've been to. (If I can say so myself). A few notes: Barry does not do bar service. If you need alcohol, you'll have to find another bar tender. I went with Phat Kats and was really happy. There was some question about how water would be served - but between Ohana, Barry and Phat Kats I didn't have to worry about it and it got done. Note: This review was for my June 2016 wedding at Camp Ohana in Fairlee VT
