It was the offseason so things are slow and rates are comparatively lower than high season. I…read morerented a Corolla for a couple of days. It was a newer car with about 6k mileage and was clean inside and out. It was an easy process, fill out paperwork at the counter and walk out a couple of hundred yards to the rental lot to get the car. I needed to extend the rental. It was handled quickly over the phone and they even changed it the lower weekly rate without my even asking. The agent was a very pleasant guy. After I dropped off the car I realized I had forgotten something at the place I had been staying. The agent had someone drive me round trip back to get my item at no extra charge. I of course tipped the driver. I would definitely rent from Windmill again.

Saw the 2 men in our party and figured the car was too small and upgraded us to a Ford Escape. (We didn't even ask. He just did it). We were advised to fill the car with gas before dropping it off to avoid paying even more than the already high per gallon price on the island. However, the gas station was closed on Sunday morning, so we were OK with paying the higher fee. But when we dropped the car off, he told us not to worry as it wasn't our fault tge gas station wasn't opened. On top of that, he offered to let us keep the car a little longer because it was pouring buckets when we dropped it off. We declined because we were only 2 hours from our scheduled ferry departure. So he recommended a restaurant near the wharf where we could get a bite and wait out of the rain. Then (and this is where "above and beyond" went into outer space) as we were waiting in the terminal for the ferry, my phone rings and its Affordable Rentals asking where we were because they found a backpack in the backseat. (In our rush to drop the car off in the torrential downpour, our travel companions forgot to grab it). I have never before had such a positive experience renting a vehicle. With the limited rental opportunities on Nantucket, they could just be basic and nobody would think twice. But they are a top-notch and classy organization. If you need a vehicle, they are the place to go!

This is the place to rent a car in Martha's Vineyard...if you can find it. They are hidden behind…read morea gas station a few blocks from the ferry. There is a small sign that I missed. I had reserved a car online. When I finally found the place, I walked inside their building and was greeted by the employee working there. She was expecting me and quickly processed my paperwork and gave me a nice and new Chevy Equinox. The return was easy. The employee told me that she might not be there and to just park the vehicle and put the key in the lockbox. I did and received a bill the next day. The rental was a fraction of the price that other places charged. Budget is a great place to rent a car to get around Martha's Vineyard.

I kept missing it, as it was a crowded Friday afternoon, but then later realized that it is exactly where it needs to be: fronting the entrance to the dock where the ferry leaves. We were able to change our departure (to go back to Hyannis) from 8:40 pm to an earlier 6:10 pm on Friday, and there was no charge since we did it before the original time elapsed...we just needed to show them our original invoice. Unlike the other Hy-line offices, there is no indoor seating, but plenty to pass the time since right in the middle of a busy tourist area. By taking the earlier return, it was a different crowd...more older and a lot less crowded. We got back to Hyannis in under an hour, and offloaded pretty easily. There were shuttles waiting in the nearby road (to avoid the heavy congestion in the pickup area), and we got the last two seats. We got dropped off at Lot 8 offsite in 10 minutes, and were on our way. Probably wouldn't recommend trying to see both islands on the same day, but it can be done via Hy-Line.

The staff is super relaxed and we felt very welcome the minute we stepped on board. They made us feel like we were locals. They have a fully stocked bar, several comfortable areas to sit, great views and a very smooth ride. Only reason for lack of 5 stars is the boat is a bit old. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just not quite a five star experience.

It was the perfect kind of day, not too hot and not too cold which was nice. We went to Brant Lighthouse for pictures, Steppes beach, the windmill, the oldest house, and through downtown Nantucket Town. The last stop was the Brewery, which was the perfect spot to enjoy lunch and relax. Absolutely recommend this fun excursion, and Cole was amazing! He just graduated from college, so 2017 might be his last summer working for this company, but if you can ride with Cole, it's a real treat.

I saw the old tour buses driving around, and it really didn't interests to sit on a bus and ride around. We decided in Nantucket bike tours due to the phenomenal reviews. We were not disappointed. We had Marcus as a tour guide, and it was readily apparent how much he loves history, and how excited hew as to share his wealth of knowledge. We booked the to the brewery tour, which lasted couple of hours and ended at the Cisco Brewery where there is a free shuttle back to town. The ride was listed as moderate, but coming from someone who hasn't ridden a bicycle in 10 years, I found it extremely easy. It's very slow paced, my advice is to ride towards the front so you can engage the tour guide in conversation. Plenty of stops with shade and water refills. You will not be disappointed with this tour. Bonus is no cover charge once you get to the brewery!

The vehicle was at the sidewalk, waiting to take my daughter and me back to the house in Vineyard Haven. No issues at all - the process was painless. The driver was polite and obviously knew his way around the island.

They have pleasant and informed drivers who take you where you want to go without 5 intermediate stops and know where they are going c which summer drivers often don't. She had a big mini van so the perfect amount of space for 2 adults, 2 kids and plenty of baggage. More expensive that I thought, about $50 from Cisco to the airport, but not sure how much an Uber would have been. Overall, if you need a scheduled ride, Doralee was seemingly reliable.
