Maybe you could say it's the Harrods of Ilford. I am surprised it's still open. It's catered for an older market - lots of clothes for pensioners. No longer do I puzzle about where they get their specific 'fashions' from. I went in for a zip and it's perfect for that - a huge haberdashery section. I am very glad it's still open. Bodgers is a wonderful old niche department store.

She ended up with several pairs of jeans RRP £70 for £10-15 each, 3 coats all £15 each with RRPs way North of £60 each and a whole bunch of tops at a similar massive discount. It was Chelsea on the cheap really. It's not just for kids and adults are well catered for too. There is also a homeware department on the first floor.if you need a frying pan or some linens. So, I'd say its 2 stars for selection, but an additional star for being less packed. The women's clothes selection is quite small, and the shoe selection is downright sparse. There's a better selection of sunglasses in this location, and we found some nice childrens book sets for boys and girls. Generally, I'd say to do your core shopping at nearby H&M and Next, and then stop in to TK Maxx if you have a little more time and money to kill on the off chance you find something you like.
