We had a great night at the Prime Steer Supper Club!! To…read morepreface- this is my first ever true Wisconsin supper club experience. We walked in to the large 360 degree bar. We chose a spot facing the entrance which was fun because we could watch the bar tender and see what types of drinks other patrons were ordering! I saw alot of old fashioneds being ordered. Of course, I followed the trend and did the same. I ordered mine sour it was great! Watching him make mine and by the taste, I could tell they make their own sour mix. It added a uniquely sour, yet flavorful touch. My friend ordered a dirty martini that was also perfectly made! Not to mention, they have homemade seasoned pretzels at the bar. Seasoned pretzels and an old fashioned was a great way to start this experience. We ordered our meals at the bar and then were given a number that correlated to the table we were to sit at. I had no idea this was how supper clubs worked but I liked the idea of sitting down on our own time. We were having so much fun at the bar that we didnt make our way to the table until our second drink. When we got to our table our salads were already waiting for us! I got the house salad with blue cheese. Although a simple salad it was delicious! The blue cheese dressing was super good- if thats your thing I would definitely recommend ordering. I also got the french onion soup which was amazing. Perfect ratio of soup to bread to cheese. They also serve bread when you sit down. I tried to avoid eating too much bread but found myself eating two slices. I got the perch as my entree. It was a large portion of fish, battered and fried served with tartar sauce. My friend ordered the steak and that was cooked to perfection too! I was told that when here you have to get a grasshopper drink on the way out. So I followed their recommendation and did. It was so good and I don't even like mint that much! It was served in a small martini glass. Overall I would 100% go back to and recommend the prime steer.

Yes, you BRETT. Brett was on top of it all night and was incredibly thoughtful and polite. Just a really amiable young man. This is important because it can make or break an experience out. All the staff, and there were a lot with the wedding, were great. Our food was fantastic and I was delighted to see I could finally get a variety of fish in a different day besides Friday "only". My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Nice work! There is a 100% chance we will go again and spread the word. The historic restaurant really added to the evening with the older original decor as well.

Asked to be seated multiple times. I actually think they forgot about us. Fries were unseasoned. Hashbrowns were in a literal puddle of oil. "Sour cream" is actually flavored butter. Steak is flavorless. Salmon was dry. Bread was stale. Buns were dry and crumbly. Chicken was dry. One salt and pepper shaker for a table of 20. Big bright lights everywhere and no ambiance. Our glasses were never empty, and she gave great suggestions for the meals. I was pleased that she was knowledgeable with the whole menu to answer everyone's questions. The nachos had a lot of flavor and there were a lot of toppings for chip ratio. The portabella mushrooms were the star of the show for apps. The breading was deliciously flavored and coated in parm, there was a nice crunch before even getting down to the mushroom. The Coconut cabbage was delicious. The chickpeas were cooked with a little crunch to give a good balance of textures. The cabbage still had a nice crunch even with all of the sauce. We had bread service and the giant pretzel that were just average, the risotto came out a little cold but they quickly grabbed all new servings for us. The ambiance wasn't for me. It was very quiet with faint music (Xmas music and it was after Christmas), but the lighting was so bright. It didn't feel warm and cozy, it was more old school style. It isn't somewhere I'd go to grab dinner with a friend or family member, but it did work perfectly for our group.

Her recommendations were excellent all around. She was highly attentive to our various dietary requirements. We were hooked just based on the five star service provided by Lori. The food was hit after hit!! The only thing that was my least favorite was the risotto that came with the fish. I opted to have it changed to the special risotto. The in house hot sauce used on the oysters should be sold in house. It was had just the right amount of kick‼ Salt is now my new favorite business dinner restaurant. Then at 230 my app said calling uber to deliver and should be here by 2:45-3. I called the store and asked what is going on and they said the drivers forgot it and they are making it now. Kinda confusing. I told them I ordered it for 2pm because I leave 2:45 and its going to be an hr late and I wont be here when delivered. I said that unacceptable. The person on the phone asked in a rude voice what you want me to do about it, then hung up on me. So I called back and asked for manager. I asked to cancel the order and refund my money.
