It is usually topped with bacon, a fried egg, and cheese. I skipped the cheese, added mushrooms, swapped a gluten free bun, and chose green beans as a side. It was a fantastic lunch. One thing that stood out was that the burger patty meat was flavorful. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. It was delicious and not greasy like those can sometimes be. Fries were fine but he'd consider another side next time because there were lots of great options. If we are in the area again, we'd plan to come back. The daily specials and Friday fish fry caught our attention. One thing to note: it seems like they are closed on Tuesdays.

Not so good...we had different menu items. I had a "ground steak, fried potatoes and a small amount of eggs. The "steak" was horribly over seasoned and the seasoning was not blended in the meat. The fried potatoes were greasy and not crispy as requested. The scrambled egg...singular..was prepared correctly but mostly covered by the potatoes. We were about the only ones dining but another group of gents left as we were entering! In spite of that, it took almost a half hour to get our food. Server was nice and just right with a nice level of attention. Since we were from out of town, doubt that we will be back.

The medium spice gave a decent heat to the dish, but I was surprised that the leftovers we had didn't seem to get hotter. Actually the leftovers were more mild and I ended up adding hot sauces to it. Great portion sizes so that you can get leftovers though. The Tikka roll was very unique. I'm always a sucker for a flatbread roll, but this was unlike any I've had before. There was some sort of cabbage slaw or pickled veg on the inside that just didn't work for me with the Tikka. Quick tip with the Tikka roll, the korma makes a great dip/sauce for it. Overall, really good food and portions. I can't wait to get back to try more of the options and actually eat at the restaurant. This is a great addition to the Wausau area!

The way it filled up during our visit, it seemed to be a restaurant favored by the locals. While the decor is dated and the service was ho-hum, the menu offered enough variety for most anyone to find something to eat. I ordered the fried chicken and my partner had the burrito special. I started my meal with a salad from the salad bar. While it offered only a modest number of items, everything was fresh. I preferred the small salad bar to none at all. My chicken arrived steaming hot. It was moist and tasty. My mashed potatoes came with the gravy on the side as I ordered. Overall, I found it satisfied my hunger. My dining partner had the chicken burrito (which was recommended by the waitress). While hot and filling, my dining partner called it "alright" and lamented not ordering the chicken. Overall, the community suffers from too many fast food places and not enough local restaurants. If I visited again, I'd certainly opt for this restaurant versus any of the fast food joints.
