Disappointing Experience - Unprofessional and Untrustworthy
I had a very frustrating experience at this med spa, which I feel compelled to share for the benefit of others. I purchased a six-month semi-glutide treatment and a three-month medication to assist the weight loss. Initially, everything seemed fine, but when I returned for my three-month check-up, I was told the doctor was unavailable and that a front desk staff member would handle my vitals and weight. When I asked about my medication refill, I was shocked to learn they claimed I had been given a six-month supply upfront. However, the medication bottle clearly stated a three-month expiration date and the quantity did not last me six months. I requested to speak to the doctor when he called. He told me it was okay to take expired medication. And seemingly tried to blame the pharmacy for how my prescription was written out when I explained to him I knew how the process of calling a prescription into a pharmacy worked. He didn't have much to say.
After raising this issue, I was given a small supply of medication without the doctor's approval, he was not even in office that day, and no staff member called him to get approval. Additionally, I was provided with an excessive amount of needles--100 needles for a small quantity of medication. When I finally spoke with the doctor, he denied the mistake, lied about the prescription details, and had no reasonable explanation for the situation. On top of that, I learned that the pharmacy next door, which the spa uses, is owned by the same person who owns the med spa.
The issues didn't stop there. The doctor consistently failed to complete charts correctly, leaving inaccurate information on prescriptions and doses of medication. When I voiced my concerns, the manager and doctor became increasingly rude and unprofessional. At one point, the manager followed me into a massage room to discuss a financial dispute while I was undressing, which was completely inappropriate and uncomfortable.
After bringing these concerns to the owner, she seemed dismissive and laughed off my worries, only to suggest that they would "hire someone to take notes for the doctor." Despite promises of compensation, I've heard nothing since, aside from a random text about a promotion. Additionally, I've been harassed by a neighboring business on multiple occasions in the parking lot, which added to my discomfort.
I cannot recommend this med spa due to its dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and failure to address serious issues. The owner even admitted to leaving early when inspectors come because she doesn't want to deal with the lack of knowledge about medications.
