The staff is friendly and willing to help anyone with anything. The campground has various types of campsites. They range from fully shaded to side by side pullthroughs. They also have a tent area reserved especially for the tent camper. There is a clean bath house which include showers. Each site provides electric and water, including the tent sites. Over all Springhill Campground and Pay Pit is clean, fun, family oriented and a very pleasant experience.

My wife and I must look like alcoholics, because everyone we met liked to remind us about the rules of open liquor( by the way we don't drink). The camp spot is just grass with water and electric. No gravel pads to camp on, no picnic tables or fire pit on our spot. We were informed by one of the seasonal campers that the speed limit is 3 mph, then they sped away on his golf cart ( golf cart Average speed is 15 mph). We just had a heavy rain here and our camp site was pure mud. Well I guess I just expected more for the premium price to camp and should have just stayed in a hotel. $41.66 a night for a tent site.

("Okay, who ordered the deluxe sunshine package?" ) Cheeky perks: * So peaceful you can actually hear yourself think... which is slightly terrifying if you travel with teenagers. * The views are so pretty you'll forget all about your Netflix queue. * Campfires taste 37% better here -- don't ask us why, it's science. Drove for over an hour on a recommendation of a former seasonal camper, and when arrived was told to leave by the owner (who turned out to be the owners son) because we brought the golf cart. When the real owner showed up, he told us to leave because of "illicit behavior" for being drunk. I had not had a drop of alcohol. He had the sheriffs office come out. This place is for their for seasonal campers who have no idea what camping is all about. Ruined a long planned family vacation.

Last year, we were passing through from a month long RV trip. We only needed a place for the night…read more(not huge Walmart parking lot fans). We wanted a quiet place, where we could rest and take a load off. Man! Did we ever find a hidden gem! The owners were super nice, as well as the seasonal folks who took us for a quick cart ride to see the Fallen Rock. This year, we wanted to get away for 10 days over the 4th of July weekend. We didn't think long before we remembered how much we loved this campground! They were so accommodating! We had the same spot of our one=night visit last year. We met many more of the seasonal folks, and their dogs (we brought ours with us this time!) We have already make a reservation to go in the fall next year for the covered bridge festival. In closing, this is the nicest, cleanest park we have stayed at to date. The owners have obviously put their hearts into this place. They feel like family. Oh, and they put on a fireworks shows that rivals the ones in DC!
