For example, my son enjoyed his classes turned in all of his assignments, and was excited to be a student at PTC. Unfortunately he received an F in all of classes in the first quarter. However when I calculated his grade by hand he received 3 B's and 2 C's. I contacted the instructors to let them know about the discrepancies and they replied that the system automatically calculated the grades. Therein lies the problem. The instructor did not assign several assignment that were worth 12 points each but the system automatically calculated the points for those assignment resulting in lowering his grade from a C to an F. Additionally, PTC is deceptive about the qualification of the instructors. For example in the faculty profiles the critical thinking teacher is a male with 15 years of experience. However the critical thinking teacher for my son was a female and she was not included in the faculty profile page. Shady to say the least.

Due to the numbers of Covid-19 cases on the rise, I and others were forced to preform online classes with MA instructor " Ms. Paula " . The fact the school pushed classes to online was rough , however they had us in their best interest. Which means a hell of a lot! Ms. Paula took a day at a time to make sure we understood what we were doing, she even offered to do 1 on 1 zoom chats to help get the understanding across. Ms. Sharron is super helpful with scheduling and answering the phone when it means the most. When it came time to come back, Ray made sure to notify everyone who was taking the course that we can stay and retake the MODS we missed or even spend an extra hour a day to truly "get what we paid for" (no extra cost). On that note... I nor the others who preformed online classes stayed to relearn the MODS, due to Ms. Paula not giving up on making sure we truly "get what we paid for"! I believe the comment on 7/2/2019 made by Josie B. is false. Every student is treated equal , it just depends if you're going to school to learn or you're going to school to socialized. There is a classroom full of girls/women 4 hours a day 5 days a week, yes girls talk and sometimes you don't like or agree with one another. However, you're taking classes to have an adult job meaning you should act like an adult. When it comes to externs, Ms. Paula and Ms. Sharron notify you when or if there is possible opening at a site. You can tell them yes or no, you are not forced to take what they find. You are also allowed to call and pick one of your choice, if that site is excepting externs. Look at the passing rates combined with cost of schooling compared to CCBC.
