After travelling down from Manchester yesterday for a wedding i have to attend on Saturday. I made an appointment at Beautylicious to have my nails tidied up and painted. I have naturally long nails anyway so they only needed a short trim. Anyway i arrived at 2.25pm for my appointment 2.30pm. When i came in i asked if there was any chance my daughter aged 4 could have hers painted a simple pink coulour to match her dress, the receptionist told me that this shouldnt be a problem but to ask the nail technician. After having a 20minute wait before they were ready to see me despite the shop being empty, the techinician called me over. She started to do my nails and i asked her about doing my daughters nails and got told no she didnt have time as her next client was booked for half past 4
She proceeded to then cut my lovely long nails right down to barely anything, filed them until they were wonky, then painted them the closest colour she had to jade green (the colour of my dress) which was dark purple.
I left there at 3.15pm my nails were covered in bumps and smudged where she had knocked them with her own hands, i even had a small piece of cotton wool stuck to the end of one nail. The whole nail on every finger is not even completly painted. I paid £6.73 and could have done a better job myself, and I now need to find somewhere else to get my nails done before the morning.
Despite the place being clean and tidy, i found the staff quite rude. They made no conversation with me whatsoever and spent the whole time gossiping with her friends in the shop about horses.
I would advise anyone if they were considering going to Beautylicious not to. read more
